Exceptional Holiday Eyeglasses Frames Only @ Zenni Optical

One thing I have learned since I have started wearing eyeglasses, is to change them occasionally. However, sometimes you could hardly replace them due to the fact that those ones you can buy outside or on high streets are incredibly expensive, without realizing that you could actually buy cheap, good quality ones online, prices starting at $8 which would definitely ever gives you an opportunity to buy more than one pair. Why not spoiling yourself in this holiday season, or buy for your love ones as present.

We are not talking about cheap and nasty ones here, at Zenni Optical you can see vast trendy selections to choose from. You can choose frame materials between plastic, aluminum, stainless, rimless, bendable, acetate, or titanum and their flairs between full-rim or half-rim. I used to love and wear frames with polarized snap-on magnetic sunshade, this is an ideal set you would be wearing in going to a beach or spending your holiday anywhere, anytime.Holiday frames that Zenni Optical has to offer is unbelievably wonderful. Rest assured you can never be wrong in buying your glasses here. Check Zenni Optical now and start collecting your favorites.

My Sister's WEDDING at CHRISTMAS in BOHOL

It was mid-November, I have blogged about my sister's husband who was going home from the US to see her (read here). At the beginning she didn't know anything about the plan, supposed to be a surprise but it seemed to be difficult for me to organize everything from here, so he decided to tell her, also to fetch him at the airport.

It was our CHRISTMAS PRESENT for both of them - the CHANCE TO SEE HIS WIFE (paid his return airfare) plus their SECOND WEDDING in the Philippines! Their first wedding was when my sister was in the US to work, have met him and after three months they decided to get married, mind you guys WITHOUT EVEN TELLING US SHE WASN'T GETTING MARRIED! She told me a few weeks after and sent me the photographs! Photos below was their wedding in the US (without any member of my family)..
Anyway, they had a lovely wedding though with AVOCADO GREEN MOTIF (this time without his family). They both wore the same gown and suit on their first wedding. All my sisters were their BRIDESMAIDS (they were 4 excluding my sister in Taiwan and myself), our only brother was their BIBLE BEARER and our cute 1 year old NEPHEW (1st grandchild of my parents) was their RING BEARER (that short little man below) LOL... They totally forgotten to include my brother-in-law (father of my nephew)... shame! CONGRATULATIONS to both of you, best wishes and make God the center of your family! A double celebration and one time preparation (Wedding and Christmas Eve) good idea sis!!... Hope to see you next time with little James or Joy, but please let us have ours first okay... hehehe...

Cheap Shopping On High Streets in the UK

"BIG NAME" STORES (high street stores) across the UK have closed due to GLOBAL CRISIS we are facing right now! Frightening really, but this is one of the things that nobody could do anything about it, except WE HAVE TO FACE IT. Businesses owners, stock holders and investors may have lost their millions and will go through tough times, and how much more these individuals who have lost their jobs, whose living and family survival have had only to rely on the jobs they have just lost and those ones as well who are about to lose!

"Imagine, about 800 Woolworths stores which employ about 27,000 staff are due to shut by 5 January".

"Five Woolworths in Northern Ireland in Armagh, Ballymena, Enniskillen, Lurgan and Newry were among 200 shutting down and putting scores of workers out of work".

"
Car accessories retailer Motor World - two of 95 being closed across the UK from Motor World’s chain of 237, involving the loss of 300 jobs".

These are just among big name stores that have closed in the UK, there were still masses of unmentioned small businesses! At the moment, I should say that UK is not an ideal place to live on. We all aware that this is a very expensive country! As a matter of fact, I chose to deprive myself every time we go on leave (a month off from work). When I used to spend vacations in Philippines, I have always bought new clothes, pairs of shoes, sandals, accessories, etc... Nonetheless, it is not happening anymore...

But, I have missed BIG DISCOUNTS, stuffs on BIG BIG SALE at the moment in UK. Imagine these Woolworth stores close to where we live plus other stores, this would have been my chance to enjoy shopping in UK especially this holiday season.

I would have wished to be in the real world, but could have been worse if to see people suffering. On the other hand, staying here where there's no shopping SAVES OUR BANKS AND POCKETS... :)

Tattoo Lovers - Meet and Chat @ Tattoo Chat City

I am not very keen of putting any tattoos in any part of my body, though I have been seeing a lot nowadays wearing tattoos, and I have nothing against it whatsoever. A lot of people whom I know that they wear them as a form of self expression, they don't say much about themselves but their tattoos say a lot about their personalities. This is an art which has emerged over a period of time and gained respect among people. A special meaning or personal significance certainly makes it more likely that you will still appreciate it even years in the future.

If you have decided to get a tattoo and are positive on the design you have chosen, get it done by an artist that really puts pride in their work. There is nothing wrong with wanting a tattoo that you can show off with pride.
Tattoo Chat Room gives you an opportunity to chat and meet people who is interested in tattoos too like you, whom you could consult, get some ideas from. Get your free membership now and start meeting hundreds of tattoo lovers at Tattoo Chat City.

What A Happy CHRISTMAS for my Hubby's Nephew

Few weeks before Christmas, I thought of shopping online to buy some TOYS for ALFIE as Christmas present (my hubby's nephew and his parents' first grandchild), but I have totally forgotten about it! Well, it was the same story as well with the flowers we have sent through, lucky we managed to recall of doing it the night before Christmas Eve (click here to read the whole story)...

In any case, he got loads of presents from Nanas and Dadas (both sides), from his uncles and aunties, and from his Mum and Dad too. Here's some photographs of this lovely and gorgeous little boy. I believe he's going to be a miner as well same as his uncle Stuart (my hubby) :)...
By the way, another failure.... wink :), we didn't manage to phone them neither Christmas Eve nor Christmas Day, we do apologized! Apparently, they were waiting for our call. Until we received an email from my Dad-in-law (Sunday after Christmas)... bad children... lol!!, aren't we?

----------------------------------------

"Merry Xmas to you both and many, many thanks for the flowers, chocks and drink. They arrived Xmas Eve. It was a lovely suprise and again many thanks. It is very cold here, no snow just dry dull and with a cold wind. We had Xmas day round with Claire Steve and Alfie. Here are some photos taken that day and as you can see Alfie is really into dumper trucks, diggers and front loaders, etc.! He had a good time. Boxing day Mum and I spent on our own. Tomorrow (Monday) Mum and I are going up to stay with Betty and David for a few days probably returning next Sunday to collect dogs from the kennels on Monday 5th Jan. Mum really could do with a break from looking after Alfie even though he is good and a lovely boy a break will do us both good and it will be good to see David and Betty again as David's health is not as good as it should be. Betty seems to be feeling better though.

We saw Madz blog and all the pictures etc. and we will continue to follow it. great viewing.
All the best to you both with all our love and best wishes for a Happy New Year...
Love
MUM & DAD
----------------------------------------

Love you both, hope to talk to you soon... Promise we'll try to phone you this New Year's Eve, if not on New Year's Day. We'll both be home soon, and we'll make it up to you!

Our CHRISTMAS Celebration in Cuango, In the Middle of Nowhere

The day after Christmas, we all back to work (back to normal). I visited my friends' blogs and have seen all their photographs, "WOW" was always the first word to have came out from my mouth, good impression with an envy feeling hidden somewhere:) Imagine the feelings of opening presents on Christmas Eve which we don't have it here...

But seriously, I am not upset for any reason whatsoever. This is where we worked, and where we earn and save decent amount of money. Our future is not here, rather THIS PLACE MAKES OUR FUTURE....

Here are some of our photographs, we didn't really take much though.. will try to take plenty this New Year's Eve!

CHRISTMAS EVE Dinner Party

CHRISTMAS DAY - we divided ourselves into groups, while Filipinos were by department. We had our respective tents where we all cooked our own foods (cooks day off, so our kitchen/mess was closed so as on New Year's Day)

I WAS PREPARING ALL THE INGREDIENTS FOR MY THAI CURRY... with my hubby... hehehe
He is one of our Security friend...

On our way back to our tent (after visited the Filipinos), we saw some couple of fruit bearing pineapple plants! I decided to sit down and ask my hubby to take photo of me...LOL... We still do have a lot of fun, despite of being in a place like this...

If you want to see more photos of our camp and mine sites, please click here. Enjoy viewing...

Second Conjoined Twin - Baby Faith Has Died Weeks After Baby Hope

I thought Baby Faith was going to survive, after her sister died following after the surgery to separate them! I was very sad when I saw it this morning on Sky News. Both parents, Laura and Alled must be very devastated of losing their second baby in the afternoon of Christmas day at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.

Early this month I have read and blogged about the Conjoined Twin Baby Faith Fighting for Survival, after baby Hope died shortly after they were born because her lungs were too small to sustain her breathing. They were born on November 26, joined from the breastbone to the top of the navel and had a shared liver but separate hearts, joined at the abdomen, shared a liver and and part of the intestine. The twins were delivered by caesarean section at London's University College Hospital last Wednesday with a combined weight of 4.8kg.

"Doctors had hoped to wait until the babies were older and stronger before operating. But they decided that their shared circulatory system and two separate hearts could make it risky to delay the procedure". But then because of the "sudden deterioration" of their health, they had to do it earlier.

We never know really what's going to happen, though the operation went well but they were too young, fragile, delicate and vulnerable to have had undergone such major operation! Some of us probably would have said as well, that they should have waited until they were older to separate them!

Links on these news were 2 sets of conjoined twins SEPARATED SUCCESSFULLY BY SURGEONS, one were
Regina and Renata Salinas Fierros were connected from the lower chest to the pelvis and shared a number of organs, and Kendra and Maliyah Herrin.

I Need Help In Getting Rid of Extra HTML Codes/Links

It has been quite a while to have noticed this extra HTML codes (my wedding blog link and delicious add me link), which I have been trying in any way I could to be able to get rid of them but found NO LUCK at all! We all aware of the two ways on adding links/codes into my blogs. First, go to HTML code on Layout/Template and add or remove any codes, in any placement you want. Second, is to add Widget/Gadget and add JAVA/HTML Code and copy code from the source and paste it to the new window.

So now, first thing I've done was to view the page source and look for the links above to know exactly where they were, but FOUND NOTHING! Would have been easier for me to just remove them straight away by viewing the HTML Codes and simply taking them out. Obviously, they didn't just appear there like magic!

If anyone of you can help me here? Have you ever encountered the same issue as this one? My blog looks as though the codes were shuffled for some reason! Now, I was considering of asking some experts out there to completely change the look of my blog..

Any suggestions guys? Would really appreciate it...

Another CHRISTMAS In CUANGO

YES, in Cuango minesite again, ever! Unfortunately, this is my husband's 10th year Christmas celebration away from family, away from home (though we've always been together but would really be nice to be in the real world, to have at least be able to feel the real spirit of the season! Mine isn't that bad, I was at home last Christmas 2005 (in Manila with my sisters) after 4 years of been stocked here (it was when we were still in Calonda).

I didn't manage to bring my camera with me, so could not attach some photographs as yet, will try this afternoon. In general was alright though we didn't stay up late, it was quite boring since the person who took over the music station decided to play boring stuffs, "soft listening" type of music, while everybody was on for dancing.

What happened? Everybody disappeared from the venue, so we did! Well, we just watched movie and woke up quite early the following morning to have organized the foods, and started my day with sparkling wine as usual.:)

How To Live A Debt Free Life

It may not be easy to avoid debt during tough financial times, like we have right now and it might take discipline and sacrifice sometimes, but not always I should say, especially if you really wanted something necessary! Typical example is when one of family members is critically ill and you needed to get some loan, obviously, you can't just sit down and do nothing! Loans, credits are may now easily and readily available anywhere whoever wishes to, but we have to be very careful and might as well feel better knowing our priorities, even when we have less money in our wallet, we should remember that the most important thing is paying off debt should still be our top priority.

Many people turn to their credit cards when they need money and taking up loans is an easy thing but managing them effectively is the most difficult. Debt Solutions can easily and effectively help you to tackle your debt burden and it helps you to wrap up the debt pile that you have created. They enable the borrower to manage his multiple debts with options like debt consolidation, debt negotiation, debt elimination and credit counseling. Good news for you, because at ClearDebt you will be given a chance to apply at on their IVA program and once your application is approved, up to 70% or more of your debt will be written off.

What is IVA? It is a legally binding agreement between you and all the people and organizations you owe money to (your creditors). You can try to arrange an IVA when there is no real prospect of paying off all your debts.

What does ClearDebt can do for your debts?

  • They will give you the most impartial free debt advice they can. They’ll never try to sell you anything: They don’t have telesales people.
  • They give you and your family the best possible chance of a debt free future with minimal financial stress.
  • ClearDebt is your path to a debt free future. Take the ClearDebt two-minute quick financial healthcheck and they’ll give you, free, a good idea of the seriousness (or not) of your situation and the options open to you.
Moreover, they will help you to clear your debts since:
  • An IVA will cut the amount you owe (typically by 50% but in some cases by up to 70%)
  • An IVA will freeze the interest you pay
  • An IVA will legally prevent creditors taking action against you.
Like I said, when money is tight, you'll feel better knowing that you're taking steps to secure your financial future, not putting it at risk.

CHRISTMAS Decors Around Poppy Crescent in Sheernes

When I was feeling very down the other day (early this week), I didn't do any work nor blogging at all! I just spent time on reading emails and cleaning spams, etc...

Made me feel the spirit of Christmas when I saw one from my my Dad-in-law with photographs around their place in UK! Wished we could be there too to see all these magnificent ornaments, that despite of the credit crunches and loads of people have been laid off from their jobs, THEY STILL MANAGED TO BUY STUFFS for this HOLIDAY SEASON and TO SHARE THE TRUE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS FROM THEIR RESPECTIVE HOME...

JESUS Is The Reason For This Season!

JESUS IS BETTER THAN SANTA

Santa lives at the North Pole.
JESUS is everywhere.
Santa rides in a sleigh
JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.

Santa comes but once a year
JESUS is an ever present help.
Santa fills your stockings with goodies
JESUS supplies all your needs.

Santa comes down your chimney uninvited
JESUS stands at your door and knocks.. and then enters your heart.
You have to stand in line to see Santa
JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.

Santa lets you sit on his lap
JESUS lets you rest in His arms.
Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or girl, What's your name?"
JESUS knew our name before we did. Not only does He know our name, He knows our address too. He knows our history and future and He even knows how many hairs are on our heads.

Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly
JESUS has a heart full of love.
All Santa can offer is HO HO HO
JESUS offers health, help and hope.

Santa says "You better not cry"
JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you.
Santa's little helpers make toys
JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds mansions.
Santa may make you chuckle but
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.

Santa is a myth
But Jesus is the Truth, the Way, and the Life
While Santa puts gifts under your tree
JESUS became our gift and died on the tree.
It's obvious there is really no comparison.

We need to remember WHO Christmas is all about.
We need to put Christ back in Christmas.

Jesus is still the reason for the season.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year !!!

We All Cry For Confirmation - If We All Going Home After The New Year

Speculations are going around that "maybe" or "maybe not" - if we all going home after celebrating New Year! God knows what will happen to us... The fact that our company didn't manage to get a decent return on last month's production (due to diamond prices fall), though we did get the quota, still it didn't help at all! Would have been a merrier celebration if global economy crisis did not strike diamond industry, well, not just in our industry, all over the world...

We are still keeping our fingers crossed that we could still be able to survive, and would keep us here and save our jobs... Nevertheless, we would still going to have a MERRY CHRISTMAS after all!

SMILE To Start Up Your Day

Laughter, some said is the best medicine in the world, and a SMILE costs nothing but gives much. It enriches those who receive without making poorer those who give. It takes but a moment, but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever. None is so rich or mighty that he cannot get along without it and none is so poor that he cannot be made rich by it. Yet a smile cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something that is of no value to anyone until it is given away. Some people are too tired to give you a smile. Give them one of yours, as none needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give.

Photos below will absolutely make you smile or even laugh... ENJOY....

So, give away your smiles freely and in abundance, spread your laughter around as it's contagious.

Guide In Controlling Fleas To Protect Family and Pets From Disease

It has never been easy to maintain a safer and protected environment, especially if we have the possessions of various pets. If you have seen one flea on your dog or cat, he has fleas. In almost all cases, there are many more fleas unseen than seen! As much as we love our pets, still we tend to hate them if we see they are scratching, seeing fleas on them and the worst is fleas will attack us as well. Fleas can jump over 6 feet, and they enter the house by any carrier available: pets and human. You simply cannot allow a single flea to survive in your or your pet's, environment if you want to live a life free of allergies, disease, and irritations.

Fortunately, I have learned that there are actually numerous ways how to get rid of them. Fleas Control gives us a full useful guide to control them, various ways, and gives us different options to use. We can either use by chemical methods or natural/non-chemical (chemical free) treatment, but when it comes to using chemicals, we have to limit because they may harm our pets (while some of them may have allergic reactions) and some people are completely uncomfortable of using any at all.

While we can't really avoid fleas to stay around, this site gives us methods on how to treat flea bites, the proper way to protect our family, an environment fleas free. Many people will brush off treating flea bites, as well as brush off putting in the time and effort to stop the infestation. No matter how well you treat the bites that are harming you and your family, if you do not kill the source of the problem, you will have to continue a treatment regime that may prove infective given time.

Being A Breadwinner Has Never Been Easy For Me

I am the eldest among 7 sisters and 1 brother, and being into that position has never been easy for me! When I first left Philippines to come and work here way back year 2001 (when I was still 22 years old), there was only one purpose I was heading for - "a greener pasture" that could somehow would answer all my questions if this was God's an answered prayers, first, to send my sisters to universities, and second to give my family a wee bit distance above the poverty line, which was only one step higher - this is what I asked for!

During my first two years of working in the middle of nowhere, working away from families and friends, was shocking, dreadful, you name it! Again with one only phrase kept on flashing on my mind - "I wasn't here for myself, I came here for my family"...

To make the story short, one day BIG TRIAL came (that was before I met my husband), I didn't know I was going to bump into it, as a young woman who was feeling vulnerable with the politics between the Filipinos. Sounds familiar?, that instead of helping each other, there we were, fighting each other. What a life, and I remember I started blaming my family, crying, helpless, weak, defenseless and in danger.. and there were times that I really wanted to resign and go back to the Philippines, but I just couldn't dare to stay at home, watching my poor family.

"If it wasn't because of my family as my inspiration, and have stayed longer for years and years, I wouldn't have met my husband and would have been leaving my family still unfortunate"...

However, God is already in control of our life's journey, He knows even before we were born, what will going to happen. All we have to do is pray and pray and pray....

This is exactly what I did during those times... PRAYER is so powerful I tell you, and God made me even stronger! I am a real survivor as a breadwinner, as a fighter!

So, this Christmas season, since "GOD IS THE REASON WHY WE CELEBRATE" - I would solely and wholeheartedly giving my BIG THANKS UP TO HIM for giving me courage and strength in order to survive in this kind of place, and to have guided my sisters in their studies and managed to finish and fulfill their dreams, to have met the man He prepared for me (my wonderful husband), to have been able to supply all the needs of my families and lastly, to have been able to bring them not only a one-step higher but loads of steps compared to what we used to.

GOD BLESS US ALL...

ANGOLAN Kids Christmas Party Turned Into A Bad Nightmare!

A once-in-a-year experience of ANGOLAN KIDS to be happy, and would have been given a chance to feel the REAL MEANING OF CHRISTMAS, but unfortunately, it turned into a BAD NIGHTMARE!!!

This time would have been their first happy Christmas ever in their entire life as kids to experience a happy Christmas, since this was the first time our company bought hundreds of toy sets, foods, softdrinks and shirts for the registered children of our local workers!
I finished work at around quarter to 2 o'clock in the afternoon last Saturday, which I only made 5 hours total! I don't work in Personnel Dept to have been given this task to be "all of a sudden" which then had became our responsibility ("WE Filipinas"). I didn't complain, though I wasn't so convinced to go to their local town until God knows what time we were going to finish, even though I was told that the party won't last after 6pm in view of the fact that they won't be fixing any lights! We drove straight to their local town's primary school (about 20 minutes drive from the camp), we put some decorations. By the way, it was only our Filipina Nurse and myself were left behind with the rest of local ladies who work at our laundry to organize all the decorations, which we managed to finish as early as half passed 3!

The original plan was to start distributing all the toys, shirts and foods by 4 o'clock, but it didn't happen because we had to wait for our Angolan Personnel Director to arrive, and it was getting very late so we decided among ourselves to let all the kids to come in and just give t-shirts and let them dance and play while waiting for him! "STRICTLY NO PARENTS INSIDE", because we only had such a little space which was only enough for more than 300 kids total....It was perfectly fine until he arrived! There was no problem whatsoever, he didn't stay long either! Imagine he arrived late and did not stay long... As soon as he left, on his way out, he told all of them to get inside! CHAOS, absolutely CHAOS!! It ruined everything, since we didn't have much space for the kids to fall in 2 lines (1 line for boys and 1 for girls), so we had to call their names 1 by 1, and didn't help either because it was getting dark and we didn't have lights....

Therefore, WE DECIDED TO STOP DISTRIBUTING.. Everybody panicked to have not been able to receive their toys (both parents and kids). They were shouting and some went into one direction where the toys were, some were shouting looking for their kids, and kids were crying and shouting looking for their parents. Poor me, I was stocked right beside where they were squashing in, my half body was sandwiched by all these stupid parents who were trying to get as much toys as they can. If it happened the same in rural areas in Manila, yes it will be the same but not as horrible and worst as it did happen here! Luckily, God forbidden to have none of them have initiated to punch anyone, otherwise, would have been a bloody and deadly fight in the middle of the dark small place!

I tell you what, I WAS SHAKING, FRIGHTENED, SHOCKED, and totally SPEECHLESS!! Because that HEARTBREAKING and DISTRESSING STAMPEDE of "WOWOWIE", that I experienced myself back in February 2006, was all refreshed on my mind that very moment! It was my 2nd frightening crowd in a mad dash. The moment we got to the camp, saw and spoken my husband, I WAS IN TEARS shaking like mad!

From now on, I will always stay away from any horde of people....

Why Advertise On Blogs and How Does It Work?

Before I learned about blogging and started my own, this particular phrase "making money online" has always been a big question mark at the back of my head, in fact, I used to think that it was a big scam over the internet! Moreover, I never used to think either that businesses have long been adopted on advertising their products, services, Web sites or their company itself, to be able to earn money and for publicity or exposure sake other than advertising on newspapers, on television companies, or even on air through radio stations. However, since "internet" has developed itself into a worldwide service giving free information and products exposure to readers, which indeed makes people to spend more time on the internet rather than on TV or listening to radios, and even newspapers. Therefore, advertisers are clever enough to make their moves to advertise on blogs, and bloggers are known to be "generating dedicated readers" and followers and or other bloggers that not only test out or buy a product that they recommend, but the readers too are also blogging about it. Imagine how quick a product or any websites will become popular through bloggers, while in fact bloggers worldwide connect themselves which then transfers information from one to another.

Out of curiosity how true was on making money online, I've had made some research and from there I have learned the secrets behind making money online, and right then and there I started blogging and in just a matter of weeks, I became extremely addicted on this writing "hobby" like at the beginning, until I learned how to certainly make real money out of my hobby. How did it happen? Who's giving bucks over the internet? This is from companies, entities and websites who advertise on blogs, seeking reviews from us bloggers to talk about its products, their own sites, services they offer through advertising companies (online marketplace), and one of them is Paying Post.
By registering at Paying Post, advertisers gain and generate buzz and traffic by getting their products and services in front of blogger community and their loyal readers. It also increases link popularity through bloggers who write and link their websites, which then translates into a higher and even dramatic improvements in search engine rankings, which then make their websites become popular, because the more bloggers write reviews about their products and services, the more links they could get. Bloggers are very influential, they can make or break your products or services. Therefore, getting right in front of them will make advertisers' products or services grow.

Indeed, blog advertising has now become a huge business over the internet. It has its own distinct advantage over other forms of advertising since it is more personal and niche related. You can be sure that those who will read the ads are mostly sympathetic to its message since they belong to the same line of interest. While us bloggers, take this opportunity to put a quick bucks on our pockets, just by merely talking about your products.

Christmas Songs To Play This Season

As you know that we don't have shops here where to buy anything, especially all the holiday season needs! I didn't have any Christmas songs to play, I remember I bought one CD last year in Manila but I would just have forgotten where to find it. It has been very quite here at mine site, since there were loads of Filipinos and Expats who went on vacation, to spend Christmas and New Year at their respective home.....

I should say there was no any spirit for this season whatsoever! We didn't put any decoration until 2 days ago, for the record....

....only today, yes only today, my first time to hear CHRISTMAS SONGS... and I had to ask my sister in Taiwan to send me from her PC if any. She did... I feel so happy and its feeling Christmas now, indeed!!

At the moment I am playing "Christmas In Our Hearts" by Jose Mari Chan...I have this sudden feeling right now, I WISHED WE COULD BE AT HOME with families and friends...

Stylish and Inexpensive Eyeglasses @ Optilcal4Less

I have been wearing eyeglasses for almost 10 years now, and the fact that I work in front of computer an average of 12 hours a day worsen my eyes. For the record, every time I have my eyes checked, they have always changed one step higher, and that's once a year with matching new pair of frames. I can only afford only one pair at a time back then for the reason being, they are really expensive, and this was 5 years ago. However, the last I bought these ones I have been wearing at the moment was late 2006, and since then I didn't bother to change anymore as they were incredibly expensive! I'm just been practical especially in this falling economy we are facing right now.

I still didn't want to buy a new pair I didn't know I could be able to buy as many as I could afford, cheap trendy prescription, yet of excellent quality eyeglasses online for as low as $15! They don't have to be expensive to be looking noble right? Besides, it gives us a chance to look fabulous of having options to compliment our style and fashion. SM Opened The World's Third-Biggest Mall

Attention SM shoppers, who just love everything about SM! I DO, this is my favorite shopping store, besides you would get anything you may need with loads of selection. Every time we go home to the Philippines and thought of doing shopping, I'd always and rather spend my time in any SM Department Store chain in Manila! We live close to the " SM Mall of Asia", what a massive place! I remember exactly when it was still under construction, about 3-1/2 years ago when I spent my one month vacation off to work, I used to go running that side!

I REALLY THOUGHT THAT SM MALL OF ASIA WAS REGARDED AS THE BIGGEST MALL ALL OVER ASIA, AS ITS NAME IMPLIES.....

But I was wrong, and have realized only after reading the story about SM's new project! This was in news WORLDWIDE and in various news online.

"THE world’s third biggest shopping mall opened in Quezon City on the 12th of December '08, a vote of confidence in the Philippines’ economic prospects amid a global slowdown, its owners said yesterday.

The launch of its 90,000-square-meter annex will make the SM City North the third biggest in the world with a gross floor area of 425,000 square meters, SM Prime Holdings Inc. said in a statement.

The company, a holding firm of Henry Sy, the Philippines’ richest man, also owns the world’s fourth, seventh, and 11th biggest malls: SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City, SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City, and SM City in Cebu".

Home City - Real Estate Expert

Acquiring a new home is always hectic and stressful, and finding a reliable estate agent is not easy! It involves a lot of time and effort, I tell you. I have experienced it myself but luckily I was dealing with an agent who did everything for me.

In any case, and for some reason if I were have to be given a chance to live and stay in Austin Texas, I would not put any doubt to deal with Round Rock tx homes, as they have experienced and knowledgeable real estate experts to look after you!

If you ever wanted or have ever thought of dealing your property, either buying or selling in Austin or Dallas/Fort Worth in Texas, have a look Home City to see their aerial photographs, slide shows and virtual tours for thousands of area homes, condominiums, lots, and townhomes for your reference.

Miss Russia Was Crowned as MISS WORLD 2008

The 21-year-old blue-eyed blonde beauty, who is pursuing an engineering degree, was crowned Miss World 2008 in an extravagant African-themed pageant held in Johannesburg, South Africa. Indeed, she is gorgeous! The second runner up was Gabrielle Walcott of Trinidad and Tobago and the first runner up Parvathay Omanakuttan of India, Parvathy Omankuttan.

The new Miss World had also won the contest's top model award and was third in the swimsuit competition. She was a crowd favourite, though not as popular as hometown beauty Miss South Africa, Tansey Coetzee who made it in the final five.

All the 112 slender entrants were garbed in strictly South African couture designs with accessories and jewellery made by some 30 local fashion designers and 20 crafters.

Reminiscing Our Early Days Together

Got this tag first from Dhemz (about2 weeks ago), 2nd from Rechie and 3rd from Gengen! I tell you why it has taking so long for me to post this, as I wasn't sure if I could be able to find some old photos in our pc, which I did manage!

This is cool, and it feels truly amazing to reflect with what you have achieved now as a couple with what you have started! I feel so excited to share our stories to all my readers..:)

Can you remember the day you first met your hubby?
* Yupp, here in the middle of nowhere, at work!!,, and it was 2 years before we were together, while he was having a relationship with other Filipina, and I was with another guy too! He used to work in other mine site and visited us every time our Chief Geologist goes on leave.

When was that? (doesn't have to be specific)
*
It was early 2002 when he visited us for a month!

>> OK THE TIME WHEN HE GOT TRANSFERRED TO OUR PROJECT, that was when we were both available and ready to move on to try again!
I didn't know he had a crush on me! I had no idea whatsoever, I thought he was after of my room mate (our GM's secretary, a filipina too...) This photo above was our first date after 2 months of courting, every single moment we were together, was just incredible! I remember he'd asked me plenty times to go with him around the mines, but my answer was always "NO", I WAS BUSY, I WAS WASHING, as I was too scared to give in with my feelings and will be too carried away!...

First impression.

* There wasn't any future cling between us whatsoever! He was a very nice chap though, gentleman, and we used to exchange stories, about life, work, family, etc... All casual!

> However, when he started courting me, he was too "naive" that I almost have asked him if he liked me! I JUST COULD NOT WAIT... He's different from among expats I know here at work!

Were you attracted to him?
* At the beginning NO.. Casual acquaintance!

Were you friends before he became your bf?

* Yes for at least 2 years! Photo beside was our first date in the middle of the bush, soon after I gave my BIG YES to him!

What was the sweetest thing he did for you?
* Writing love letters and giving me flowers every single day, during our courtship period (for almost 2 months)! I love surprises... he used to surprise me of putting flowers or plants outside our garden, and wondered where were those come from and realized in the end they were from him!
What are the things about him that you are thankful for?
* He knows how to make me laugh. He's been a very good friend, lover and a husband to me. "He saved my heart from being broken apart, he gave his love away, and I'm thankful everyday FOR THIS GIFT - "TRUE LOVE"
. :) I love you very much my luv...

By the way, GREEN colors - before we were together, RED colors - when he started courting me til we were together!

We met here (in the middle of nowhere), became friends, liked each other, experimented if we would have worked together, we fell in love, got engaged, but married in Mauritius (still in Africa) hahaha... See, imagine how meaningful Africa is to us...

**Now the rules are simple.

1. Pick your sweetest picture when you were still friends and post it on top of the questions and answers.

2. Another pic now that you are together post it after the questions.

3. Share to how many friends you like.

4. Enjoy doing it c:

5. Let your hubby read it too!

Now I am so excited to read my other friends' love stories! Let me pass this on to the following cool bloggers: Shawie, Ate Juliet, Ria, Faye, Maus, Belle, Juliana, Pinay Mommy, Binkee, Liza, Mharlyms, Jonlynx, Grace, Shiela, Marie, Lisa, Anygen, Bingkay, Chelle, Joy, KC, Lara, Edel, Yenzz, Mel, Ruby, Iyrel, Yub-Filipina, Rosilie, Shy.

GO GO GO girls.....just ignore if you got this already, just wanted to share my story....

Find People in the U.S. by Reverse Phone Lookup

I know it is quite frustrating sometimes to find friends, families, relatives addresses especially if your address register has vanished and could not find it, and only thing you have with you is their telephone numbers! First thing comes to your mind is, they might have bought a new house, have moved location more than ever if you haven't spoken for years and years!

What you're going to do then? Particularly this Christmas season, that you wanted to connect love ones and friends through sending cards, presents, etc...

There is a solution to this, though you it does not guarantee that you could find some numbers from a cell phone or any unlisted numbers, for the reason being that these numbers are not included in the database and are not published same as landline numbers. Nationwide Phone Lookup allows you to find someone just by merely searching on their database through their phone numbers, all you have to do is to enter the area code and the seven digits number and its just a matter of seconds the result will appear with the person's name and address linked with the phone number. Easy isn't it?

So don't waste your time of stressing yourself out in finding them, just sit down and search their numbers by using reverse phone lookup. Members are guaranteed to be given a 100% access unto their database, at no risk at all!

Pretentious Attitude of Other Bloggers

"I wish people would get off their high horses and quit the snooty attitudes, especially when they themselves are “shilling” for money. Give me a break".

Tell me one thing, who among you guys don't want to make extra money in blogging?...and... What was your first reason in the first place why you started blogging? Did someone ever tells you why should I or we start blogging? Was there making money some sort of idea?

Was it not because of the phrase - "Wanted to earn money online / wanted to earn extra money out of blogging"? Let's get serious here, GET REAL!... If you will be given an opportunity to earn extra income are you not going to grab it? Whilst we know that blogging is an easy way of making extra money, and WHY NOT?

I tell you what, since I have started posting PAID POSTS, I AM EARNING 2 GREAT THINGS HERE - EDUCATION AND MONEY!! I have learned and would still learn a lot of things, new topics for me mostly....

I came to read this blog, she wrote about the Snooty Attitudes of other bloggers! What is wrong about blogging for pay anyway? I love this post:

"There is nothing wrong with blogging for pay. I earn a considerable income from it, an income we would otherwise not have. I cannot work outside the home due to disability, so blogging for pay is my entire livelihood. I am able to buy groceries for a family of 6 with my earnings (despite Google slashing my PageRank and severely limiting my opportunities). I work very, very hard. I try to write well and write interesting articles, and to keep my blog clean and neat and well-designed. What is wrong with blogging for money?

And why are companies like PayPerPost or PayU2Blog mocked and scorned, but for some reason, Google’s AdSense is OK and is somehow more respectable and “holier” than PPP or PU2B? I absolutely refuse to have AdSense on my blogs. For one, I think Google is too big for its britches and are control freaks. Two, have you seen some of the ads they have– some of those links are extremely offensive! And three, who makes any money off those ads?! I hear stories of people *finally* getting their measly $20 after five years. Give me a break. But somehow, AdSense is more noble, more pure….

Personally, I prefer to read blogs with sponsored posts than blogs that are crammed with AdSense and other ugly stuff. I have found some really great deals and learned some great things by reading Sponsored Posts.

I wish people would get off their high horses and quit the snooty attitudes, especially when they themselves are “shilling” for money. Give me a break".

An article of Kim Komado on Earning Money Online, who says:

"Some advertisers offer pay-per-post opportunities. You may receive, say, $10 to review a product on your blog….

ReviewMe, PayPerPost and Blogitive.com are three sites that offer these opportunities. Some have disclosure requirements. But I’m still not fond of these programs. Your readers may desert you if they think you are shilling for products".

THERE WAS ONE OF THE COMMENTS WHICH I DON'T LIKE, WHICH SAYS:

From Bas of Istanbul:

"It’s all about ads not finding their way into the content of the blog.

The programs mentioned infiltrate the content… and quite frankly, I don’t read blogs with paid posts, except if I come by one to drop on them. This is also why I’m quiting Entrecard.

I read many blogs of bloggers who make a living (or who are rich even) because of blogging… They don’t use paid posts. I think paid posts is really bad for blogging to be honest.

Good content should be the focus for a blog. I have one blog for my DJ mixes called The MiX-Files. I make some money through that blog because I occassionally link the tracks used in a mix to the place where they can be bought… This is a service and a legit way to make money from my content.

My content does not depend on this. If you don’t fully understand my position, and the position of many bloggers alike, send me an email and I’ll explain it in full :-)"

.... AND I HAVE COMMENTED TOO!!!.....

Hi Rebecca, I salute you for having been able to bluntly expressed the reality in blogging world! I like you for being that… I do agree with you 100%… we are not in the position to say that paid blogs are not good, while you can actually learn fresh topics every now & then! I must admit, most of the sponsored posts in my blog are new to me, so I am earning 2 things here, EDUCATION & MONEY… so what’s wrong with that hey Bas!!!

I have both Adsense & Sponsored posts on this blog of mine, and I do get occasional featured offers from advertisers because of this rank I got which is 3, only after 4 months of blogging, there I started writing sponsored posts! But donnu until when Google is going to keep it… but it doesn’t really matter, I earned more money from advertisers than Google anyway, so why worry…

Entrecard helps a lot of obtaining traffic unto your blog, so nothing wrong with that, who doesn’t need traffic???

Keep it up girl, I like you though….

Paid blogging is very easy, so there are a lot of terrible paid posts (and blogs) out there. But just because they are bad does not mean that the concept of paid blogging is bad.

There is no difference between writing a sponsored post and linking to a series of links so you can get a commission. Both are selling something through their blogs, and both are doing some kind of blogging for pay. And if you write a post about your affiliate links, there’s a sponsored post that has “infiltrated content” right there.

You did say you knew people who have gotten rich by blogging. The richest blogger I know is John Chow, and guess what– he does paid posts! Google killed his Page Rank, too (up and down) yet he has a base clientele so he still makes the money.

“Good content should be the focus for a blog.” Who determines what is “good content”? See, it’s all an illusion, an opinion. I write good content, sponsored or not, although I have my “off” days, sure. So when you say “I don’t read blogs with paid posts, except if I come by one to drop on them” (that is, if you have something to GET from going to such blogs, correct?), and then you also say “Good content should be the focus for a blog” you are immediately making the assumption that no sponsored posts have good content. Au contraire, this is what I mean by a snooty attitude. To this kind of narrow thinking, all sponsored content is not good, therefore there is no good sponsored content. Somehow, all sponsored posts are immediately branded as “not good.” What if a person writes good content for sponsored content? And how do you know anything written is good is you refuse to read it? Is that still bad content, a bad blog? See where I am going with this. It’s all a preconception and circular reasoning.

It’s like saying, the only kind of good articles are in encyclopedias, as these don’t have sponsored content. So magazines, newspapers, and short stories are immediately dismissed as poor reading material, because they have sponsored content. That’s ridiculous. This same snooty standard is upheld like some kind of kingly law in the blogosphere, but not in reality anywhere else…

Please read the whole article on the link above.... Enjoy reading, this is pretty much interesting!!

Gay Norton Edelman is a senior editor at Family Circle magazine. She writes frequently on spiritual issues; her favorite gifts are donations to her favorite charities, but she’s not a bit opposed to shiny packages, too.

2) Manage Kids' Expectations
At a time when the financial reality requires that it has got to be the love and not the stuff that matters, let your kids know that you’re opting for a simpler, more heartfelt holiday season. They can handle it. But don’t say, “We can’t afford it.” Say, “We’re choosing to keep it simple and creative this year. We’re going to focus on being imaginative about gifts and emphasizing togetherness, not shopping.” If you believe it, they will, too (even if they do groan and roll their eyes). Help them gain perspective by volunteering as a family (actually having contact with the people you’re helping is the best form of give-and-take there is). Collect donations for food banks or give time at an animal shelter. Show them how much you believe in their giving little hearts and prepare to be awed!

3) Creative Cupons
Be honest—if you had the choice between a piece of jewelry or someone to clean out your fridge, wouldn’t you pick the kitchen first aid? Most people would rather have more help than more stuff. Get on the computer and have a ball thinking up things you can do for people you cherish. Then write up fancy certificates or hand-lettered index cards. Give your adult son a coupon for a half-dozen freshly ironed shirts, your teenage daughter a free pass from Saturday chores, your significant other…well, use your imagination and make sure he or she opens the gift privately!

4) Suitable for Framing
Find a nice poem in the public domain, and create something your loved one can frame (or polish and use one of those frames in your bottom drawer, or pick up a simple one at the dollar store). How about the serenity prayer for your 12-step buddy? Or your sister’s favorite Psalm (such as, “Be still and know that I am God,” Psalm 46:10)? Wrap and add a bow--at my house we sometimes use the Sunday comics or, for fans, the sports section, as wrapping paper--and you’re ready to rock and roll! Not long ago my friend Karen printed out a list of pithy healing statements for me in my favorite color, purple (sample, from Mother Teresa, “Intense love does not measure; it just gives”). It’s hanging in my dining room right now.

5) New Game
The best gifts say, “I know you. I think about you. I understand you.” Several years ago I created an acrostic for my friend, Karen, making a simple poem using the letters of her first name. I did it on the computer, but if you have nice penmanship, you could do it by hand. Write the person’s name vertically, then use each letter to begin a fun, loving statement about the person. It was such a simple gift, but she had tears in her eyes when she read it. “Nobody’s ever done something with my name like that,” she said. Another option is to put the person’s name on a hat (maybe with a slogan) or t-shirt (with a favorite photo).

6) Focus on an Interest
It really is the thought—not the dollar number on the bottom of the receipt—that counts. Think about what your loved one really enjoys or cherishes, and gather together simple tools of his trade or hobby. Your friend loves to write—get her a blank book, a pretty pen, and a set of ear plugs. Your husband cherishes his garden–give him a pile of seed catalogs and a promise in writing to do the ordering for him when the time comes. For a baker—create a basket of supplies and a shiny new gadget to spur her on. And if you dare, you can even re-gift or go with gently used goods. I have friend of limited means who’s a genius at knowing what books I like—twice I’ve received a lovely stack of two or three spiritual books, tied with raffia, decorated with a small sprig of greenery, and sporting a heartfelt, custom-written card. Perfect!

7) Grandma, We Love You
Have everyone—the kids, the grandkids, the in-laws—write love notes, with specifics on what they’re grateful for and what their favorite times have been. Embellish with hand drawings. Cover a shoe box with pretty paper, stuff the love notes inside, and watch the feelings flow. Or do you have a relative (like my sister-in-law Eve who never misses a birthday, anniversary, or holiday for anyone in our huge family) who likes to send as well as receive notes of good cheer? A thoughtful gift could be an assortment of lovely stationery and some cool custom stamps. (There are several sites that make them. Or just go to the post office and have them show you their assortment of commemorative stamps.)

8) Share Your Soul
Take a page from the tradition of prayer beads. Make or buy a string of pretty beads. As you string them, one at a time, speak a special prayer “into” it; if store-bought, just touch each bead and say a prayer as you do. Make each brief prayer meaningful for the recipient (e.g. May you find true love, may you make a dream come true, may you do well in school this year, etc.). Find a lovely jewelry-sized box and present it to your loved one with a special note. Either explain that each bead has a special prayer in it or list the prayers. (I’m doing this for my sweet big sister, Anita, who totally deserves this kind of blessing.) You can use the same principle with a knitted or crocheted scarf or afghan—pray with each stitch, then present with a note on the item’s history. You could even go with recipes—copy your favorites into a pretty pamphlet, adding a prayer or a simple, affirming quote with each one, then bake one of the dishes and present it all together.

9) Potluck Dinner
Happiness researchers tell us that it isn’t the cost of the gift that creates the wow but the quality of the love behind it. Even when it feels like the reason for the season is eating, what really matters is all the good energy flowing as the dishes are passed. So plan an extended-family or neighborhood potluck dinner. You provide paper cups, plates, and plasticware—or go green and have everyone bring his or her own plate, cup, and silverware. You also take charge of beverages and hors d’oeuvres. Then set a date and assign half your guest list vegetables and salads, a quarter an entrée, the last quarter desserts. Run a vacuum around the living room, pull out your best tablecloth, and now it’s a party!

10) Fireside Chats
Kids of all ages love to tell and hear stories about themselves. Draw the family close one December night, pop some corn or toast some marsh mallows, make cocoa or mull some cider (heat to very warm, not hot, and add a pinch each of cinnamon, ginger, and cloves), and pull out the family photos—those in albums and the ones still strewn in boxes. Go through them together and narrate. If your kids are older, like mine, they may share a memory or two of their own that might surprise you. In all likelihood, there’ll be some laughter! Take more photos for next time. Resolve to make this an annual tradition.

11) Make a Joyful Noise
Photocopy a dozen favorite seasonal songs, and pull out your old folk song books. Invite your friends to a sing-along. If you’ve got a guitar or piano player in the bunch, so much the better—but if not, that’s fine too. You’re there to laugh and feel closer to each other, not to make the hit parade! Everybody brings a snack, you provide the drinks, and you’re home (almost) free. If you want to go really crazy, get everyone to go caroling house-to-house. Then, back to yours for hot drinks and a debriefing of all the different responses.

12) Schedule a Games Night
Here’s a way to get together with friends and family that will never end in arguments over who’s picking up the tab! Invite a dozen or so people (more gets unwieldy) and ask that everyone bring a snack (some folks can bring sweet, some savory) and a favorite no-tech game. (As in Trivial Pursuit, Monopoly, Pictionary, or even that weird unopened one way back on the shelf.) Light the bayberry candles and the fireplace, if you have one, and laugh the evening away. My neighbors and I still recall the night, organized by my friend Barbara, when we all got so giddy over some silly game that tears rolled. You can’t make this kind of memory happen, but you absolutely can lay the groundwork. To get the fun started, stack all the games on the coffee table and get a consensus. Or rotate through the top three or four—who says you can’t be fickle?—and party on.

Mango Plantation - Our Business In The Near Future

Neither do I nor my husband knows anything about Mango Plantation! You'd probably ask why on earth all of a sudden we became interested in making ourselves preoccupied in this very complex matter to get involve with, right?

Few months back even before we went to Philippines in September, we thought and it was just a "thought", that we might consider of buying a property (a piece of land) preferably in my province in BOHOL, not just yet of settling down there, not too soon! Then we went to the Philippines, stayed in Bohol for about 7 days, and we have had traveled backwards and forwards around the place, from right there "we have marked our new beginning, future life in Bohol". My husband likes my place so much, he's not being biased here does he?

Though we did not push to find and buy straight away, we asked my father to extend his radar if in case he could hear any decent size piece of plot, preferably a commercial lot (with mango trees or coconut or rice fields, etc) so we could earn while waiting for the right time to build our dream house in Bohol.

Without stressing ourselves out, opportunity knocks only once... what a lucky day, we said! My father contacted me straight when his cousin contacted him to advise us if we were interested to buy a "2.8 hectares with 250 mango trees (which they had their 1st fruit season early this year), with rice fields, plus a decent size 2 bedroom concrete house - for only P1.5M. Roughly +-$32,000, which gives us the price of P54 per square meter ($1.14), not including mango trees, house and rice fields...."!
JACKPOT!! So I asked my father to go and visit the place straight away, to talk to the owner, take photographs and make a deal. We know it was cheap, but then we tried if the owner was willing to reduce the offered price, which in the end she did not!

It was alright, the "Deed of Sale" has already been processed and as soon as all the legalities will be finished and finalized, also the money we have transferred, that will be ours soon...:) Exciting isnt' it?

The only thing we are anxious about is, who's gonna look after and manage the place? Are we capable of managing a million peso business, which also involves a million dollar efforts, time and money...

Online Shopping As Christmas Present For Myself

.....Another Christmas in the middle of nowhere!.....

Sounds pathetic, sad.... huhuhu... Yet, needless to say that we still regard ourselves as lucky (as we work together) compared to the rest of the expats here, whom they work away from their wives and children.

I have been telling everyone that we are in the "bush", "middle of nowhere" - without shopping malls, no cinemas, no beaches, no markets! However, we all been used to live with it "contentedly and cheerfully"! Why if nothing is in there? All because we do not do anything except to wake up in the morning, take shower and go to work!! EASY LIFE.... You can read our stories here, and here, and here, and here, and here lol:)...

Anyway, shopping is always the first thing comes to our mind when special celebrations (birthdays, anniversaries, chistening, etc) or any major occasion like "Christmas" comes! Sad to say that I had to do mine, ours online. When we were in UK last September, my husband bought my Christmas present already, its a TAG HEUER two-tone watch and have been wearing it since we came back here. I didn't manage to wait til Chistmas.... :) Besides, I have already given my present for him, latest PC Games (5) with Joystick since he likes playing computer games, this was through our South African friend who went on vacation last month.

So, I browsed on EBay, and have had found gorgeous things I would have asked my husband to buy for me if we were at home. They were shipped to the Philippines, did arrive safely, and asked one of my colleagues to bring with him who arrived just this past week! I found this Australian company called Pink Beauty, not so expensive though.

You know what are those? You need to open that box first...lol... They are FASHION JEWELRIES... I love fashion, wearing different styles everyday at work is my great passion. I don't buy expensive ones, I'd rather have 10 than 1... You know what I mean? I am like a little child sometimes :)

I bought 3 earings, 3 necklaces, and 1 bracelet, plenty huh! Look at them.... big thanks to my Santa Claus!! They are gorgeous, aren't they?

An Inspirational Story About Faith

"We never know what's gonna happen in the future" and "Things happen for a reason". These phrases are among the ones I like that I always say to people around me whom I care (husband, family and friends)....That everything might work well with us at the moment, but we never know that we would probably wake up one morning, for we allowed to get everything we want only to loose them in just a matter of seconds! That is so scary.. INDEED!

We don't hold our future, it's only a matter of faith..... and we should be ready all the time.... Take one thing at a time... Have faith in everything we do and trust that God will eventually make things work smoothly for us...

--------------------------------------------------------------------

This story I am about to share is about FAITH, in the abyss between life and death resides only faith. Experts call this abyss "Motherhood". I am not a mother yet, but after reading this I certainly understood how it feels like to be a mother!

Lying on a cold, hard bed only six months along with my first child, I faced the frightening implications of this truth. My body shook uncontrollably as abject terror clutched at me. My only lifeline was my husband's hand clutching mine over the abyss as love for life - mine and the tiny, still-unseen child's - burned deep in our hearts. One after another after another the nurses piled the bloody sheets into the corner until the doctor pronounced those fateful words, "The baby's coming."

Only then, with control slipping past me into a haze of drugs and fear, did I make that one, final leap - the leap from control to faith - the leap from childlessness into motherhood.

My next recollection was my husband's hand once again holding mine as he said the words that officially changed my life, "We have a little girl."

The images of the next two months blurred together as ups and downs alternated at break-neck speed. One minute spent holding my two-pound and yet weightless daughter in my arms versus the next three weeks spent holding only tiny fingers through the isolet window-waiting for the next opportunity to take my baby out of the incubator again.

The drugs, powerful enough to keep her safe from infection, again and again blew through her small veins while all I could do was watch, pray, and hang onto the faith that somehow we would get through this. If we could just make it to the next horizon, through the next transfusion and the next round of drugs, then I could live again. Until then survival was my only goal.

In the darkness of a soul in crisis, my prayers became much deeper. No longer were they for selfish requests. Now they were centered wholly on the tiny baby God had entrusted to my care. The Lord has said, "Cast your burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain you" (Psalms 55:22), and during those long days, that was what kept me going.

As good as that sounds, however, reality was that my only real positives at the time were formed by the negatives. "It's not pneumonia." "It's not an infection." "We won't have to put the IV in her head-this time." The struggle to live was being waged not only by the tiny baby lying helplessly in the incubator, but by her mother's spirit as well. Fear laced every call to the hospital, every question, every conversation. But always the faith remained. Somehow we would make it. Somehow God sustained me. Somehow.

Then in one faltered heartbeat the negatives became negatives again, and I faced a test of faith more terrifying than my own journey through the abyss - my baby's journey to the edge of the River Jordan. All her veins had been blown, and a new IV would have to go in her head - all the other options had been exhausted.

In utter desperation my husband and I left the hospital, and on a rain-soaked highway with the amber glow of the streetlights flashing above me, I reached a place that I never even knew existed - the place where faith no longer resides.

"Why?" I asked the darkness around me. "Why?"

But God has promised, "I will never leave you, nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5), and I am here to tell you, He does send messengers to help when you ask. Truth is, mine was sitting right by my side - exactly where he had been through the whole ordeal. Slowly my husband reached over, took my hand, and spoke the words that I would cling to not only for this one night but for the rest of eternity. "She's going to be okay. You've just got to have faith."

Every day for the next five years that faith has been tested over and over again. Every time I let my baby-big girl, now-off at play school. Every time my second daughter lets go of my hand and walks off on her own. Every time one child or the other screams in pain or in fear at two o'clock in the morning - the words come back to me, "She's going to be okay. You've just got to have faith."

In the days to come, the phrase will only become more powerful. During the long nights when the girls fail to call and on the days when they experience their own griefs, the words will be there to help me through. Time and again as I hold my children for one brief moment and then release them into the abyss, the words will be there.

Through school, best friends, boyfriends, first dates, first heartbreaks, in partnership with God and my husband, I will remain the rock on which these two girls can build their lives. Until someday in some beautiful sunlit church, I will watch from a front pew as they stand before God and pledge themselves to another forever. Then as they turn, kiss me, and walk away into their own lives, the words will again be there. "She's going to be okay. You've just got to have faith."

The day will come of course when the abyss will stretch before me again "when Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall you also appear with Him in glory" (Colossians 3:4).

In some darkened room on another cold, hard bed I will step toward the abyss to make my final journey home. However, this time I will have not one but three sets of hands to hold onto. Then, looking up into the eyes of the two beautiful women my daughters have become, the sadness at our imminent parting will be there, but a greater understanding will hold me also.

Beyond a doubt, I know that as I slip the darkness of this world into the light beyond, I will hear that voice one more time: "They're going to be okay. You've just got to have faith."

GOD BLESS US ALL.....

Report Annoying Phone Calls

Indeed, it is very annoying to have always received these unknown phone calls every now and then! Most of the times what I do is, just ignore them especially if I don't know the number or not listed on my contacts. But sometimes, you can't really help yourself, and get annoyed!

You'd perhaps thought of doing something about it, to report the numbers? Yes, here at www.reportphonenumbers.com you can check the number(s), search on their database of numbers and know what people had to say about that particular number(s)!

Our safety is their main concern here, this is for our own protection (personal, financial and credibility). There are some callers who pretend to be working at the Lottery or Sweepstakes and would tell you that you have won this much, and they that need your bank details where to deposit the money to, or your home address where to send the cheque! Some of them are just purely to annoy you, verbal harassment or even gives you some warning!

Now you know what to do, just simply sit down and switch your computer on, open Report Phone Numbers, search the number you have received or will receive and write about it. They will stop eventually of somehow they'd realize no one bothers to entertain them anymore.

Life's Bumps And Bruises

"Indeed, LIFE is full of bumps and bruises. It's what you learn from it and what you do with it that makes you who you are." I myself have been through a lot of bumps and bruises as well (sad stories, frustrations and failures), in my 8 years of working here in the middle of nowhere (Angola), but life must go on. I have managed to live with it, learn from them and carried on until I found my so called "success" despite of frustrations!

----------------------------------------------------------------

I was reading this article in Glamour magazine a while ago, and it was about these five women who overcame deadly situations and got on with their lives. These women went through a double lung transplant, an open heart surgery and then gave birth to twins, a cancer survivor, a deadly bacterial infection, and one of the women, who was still a teenager like us, survived knife wounds that most people wouldn't survive.

This article got me thinking about how people go about their lives. Life is not a smooth ride. Some people, when they hit a bump, give up and turn around while others find ways to go over the bump or around the bump. I believe that everyone should do the latter and be like these five women and find ways to get around these bumps.

So when you reach a bump on the road called life, don't give up because you're not the only person to ever reach that particular bump and you're not the last. Be an example for your followers!!!

Air Cleaner-Purifier Guide For Safe Living

I don't smoke, and I do really hate smoking, for the stink it gives to your clothes, bedsheets, curtains, etc...!! But lucky my husband doesn't smoke inside our house. I am very much particular when it comes to odor, and always make a fuss everytime I smell any unpleasant aroma around, that's why I always buy air fresheners at home.

However, only recently that I became known of this "air-cleaner" / "air-purifier" thing. There are quite few of types for us to choose from, such as: hepa air purifier - HEPA stands for "High Efficiency Particulate Air" which is intended to sieve out enormously tiny bits and pieces that are hanging around in every corner, also this ultraviolet air cleaners, ionic, carbon and also there's such as what they call "electrostatic precipitators", and car air purifiers as well. As far as I know, air cleaner/purifier is designed to fight and remove toxins, any noxious waste on air, which gives us a secure, protected and dirt-free living.

To know more about air cleaners and air purifiers, Air Cleaner Guide gives you all the useful information, complete guide on various types, sizes, in kind of filters and uses.
