We'll Both Be Flying Out Today!!!!

YES that's right! Hubby was told yesterday to be ready for today. I was in teary eyes thanking God for all the possible ways He's been showing off in due time, that His intention and motive is for our safety too..... THANKS FOR ALL YOUR PRAYERS MY FRIENDS, I KNOW HOW POWERFUL PRAYER IS, and I thank you all for that...

Our company's Angolan administration managed to get hold of other company the possibility of giving us 2 seats for their flight today (Friday) - this is in another town (since the town we are in now is not allowing any public flights anymore except Sundays but only under circumstances)... But its only an hour drive from here and another hour and half flight, so not bad though.

Everything has already been organized - the hospital, the doctor, all the corresponding paper works - so I will be heading straight to th
e hospital as soon as we get to Luanda! Hubby will be back here on Monday until the 10th, while I will be at the hospital until he gets back there and fly home together! I can't really wait.... I KNOW GOD IS IN CONTROL...

I won't be able to contact you until we get to UK, and its gonna be in 2 to 3 weeks time!

I'm only going to take the stuffs I needed for my 10 day stay at the hospital, the rest hubby will pack everything! Poor man...lol...

*************************************************************

Yes you are right my friends - when I start feeling so stressed and if I walk too much (feel tired), my baby doesn't like it because he/she gives me tummy cramps and pains right away - to remind me that "MOMMY PLEASE YOU NEED TO CALM DOWN, RELAX, I'LL BE FINE, I WILL BE SEEING YOU SOON"...lol, I may sound crazy but I know he/she'll be fine and knows what's going on...

.....and you know where I got this positive feelings? FROM YOU MY DEAR SISTERS/FRIENDS, YOU MAKE ME STRONG THROUGH ALL YOUR COMMENTS, REMINDERS, PRAYERS, CARE AND LOVE... Can't wait to speak to you again, and it will be soon! GOD BLESSES YOU MORE and MORE and MORE, take care and love yah all....

I Wish I Could Finally Say "Don't Worry, We Are Safe"

I didn't know I was given by our Angolan doctor a 7-day sick leave (from the 25th), until only yesterday to have found it out when I decided to see my boss at work! I went to see him yesterday morning for two reasons: to get some of my personal stuffs and to tell him that he must start making a plan for me to hand over my work loads! But even before I went to knock his door, he saw me and said "Oh come to my office I need to speak to you", about your health condition...and even before I said a word, he said "I know what's going on, I want you rest until you go on leave and please start handling over, all I want you to do is to come here whenever you like - monitor and check his job and if you need to lie down - go home and rest"... 'I REALLY CRIED SAYING 'THANK YOU SO MUCH I TRULY NEEDED IT'.....

...and on my way to see hubby to tell him what my boss had to say - our Angolan doctor saw me and handed over two pieces of paper - MY MEDICAL REPORTS to be given to my boss. Then he started telling me about their plans (among company's local directors)....that I have to get ready for this coming Sunday - to fly (hopefully they could arrange a flight) to Luanda (Angola capital) for a thorough examinations for both - MY BABY AND THE MALARIA! That he already phoned his OB-Gyne friend at Sagrada Hospital to be available starting Monday... So, their plan is - I will be confined at the hospital for a week until to see my hubby the following Sunday then we'll fly home to UK by the 11th.... I was so happy with teary eyes thanking for their care!! Our Angolan doctor is somehow worried about my case due to the fact that I AM PREGNANT WHILE HAVING A HIGH MALARIA COUNT!, that they couldn't do more...

I know what you're going to ask me - WHY TO WAIT UNTIL SUNDAY Madz? WHY NOT ASAP? Because we don't want to gamble the safety of our baby to travel a 12-HOUR TRIP from mine site to Luanda, which hopefully and that God will allow for the time being - for a possible special flight this coming Sunday, which is not possible during weekdays...

Since we DON'T GET FLIGHTS ANYMORE, everybody travels backwards and forwards by road trips, and even our foods are also now being transported by land. We used to get 4 flights per week 5 months ago, but due to security reason, the government and our company agreed to cancel all the public flights, except for Diamond Exports and any private flights!

I now started getting rid of our old stuffs (with our local cleaning ladies), since we are not certain yet if hubby is still gonna come back due to recession, and our company will due to inform us the real score during the week! Besides, we both have an ULTIMO VISAS - meaning LAST ISSUE OF WORKING PERMIT - not unless if the company still needs him (never mind about me), that they are going to process his visa again! We never know what's gonna happen....But for the meantime, we are not worried about it - all we want is for me to get out of here!

I would like to take this opportunity to say - I JUST CAN'T THANK YOU ALL ENOUGH FOR ALL UNDYING SUPPORT, ALL YOUR CARE, LOVE, FRIENDSHIP, REMINDERS... I appreciate all so much! Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I am lucky to have guys as my friends....Will keep you posted before Sunday.. Love yah all!!

Was Full of Disappointments Yesterday!!!

I was quite happy when last Saturday one of our Angolan cleaning ladies realized that I was pregnant, she came and spoken to me. I said to her, I need medicines to secure my baby! She said why don't you ask our Angolan doctor to go with you to a Korean OB-Gyne in their local town. I was totally stunned and with full of happiness, that despite of my situation, there's still a way to safeguard my baby. I thanked God and did see my hubby straight away if we could both arranged if visiting this Korean lady in Cafunfo town.

Which we duly did yesterday, and we managed to get authorization to get out of the camp and headed straight to their local hospital to see our Angola doctor first! He then made a corresponding request to see her ASAP! His Angolan nurse came back said, "SHE WAS BUSY" and she was attending something very important!!!.. He then phoned her, and I was disappointed even more especially when we learned that she won't be available until further advise... huhuhuhu...

We then directed to another doctor - another useless one! I was so frustrated - that why on earth he had to bring me to another doctor who has no idea about pregnancy whatsoever!! He happened to be the HOSPITAL DIRECTOR, then what are we doing here? (first thing came to my mind)... hubby said to hang on... He asked me some questions, for file purposes while our Angolan nurse was preparing the bed!!! Then this director stood up, went outside to get a pair of GLOVES??? Because he wanted to check how my ovary was or uterus whatever that was!!! The moment I saw it, I SAID NO NO NO NO NO! Nobody can touch me..... I said to hubby please honey stop him, I don't need this!

HELLO...... HE IS NOT AN OB-GYNE, YET HE WANTED TO INSERT HIS FINGERS IN TO MINE???? Urrrgggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

Then hubby explained that we don't came here for him to check, for any laboratory nor physical check ups - ALL WE NEEDED IS A PROPER OB-GYNE to give me a prescription for me to take for my BABY SECURITY and PRENATAL VITAMINS! I really cried..... The same doctor then wrote another in a piece of paper for a laboratory examinations to be made - MY BLOOD and URINE? They wanted to make sure if I don't have any infections, I said fine but where is the laboratory? We drove down to see another clinic and what shocked me as soon as we got in.......

OUR TOILET IS MUCH BETTER AND MUCH CLEANER THAN THEIR LABORATORY!!! I nearly walked out and wanted to scream.... huhuhuhu...thanks God hubby was there to give me moral support, that he had to keep on telling me that WE ARE IN ANGOLA, THERE'S NO WAY WE CAN DO MORE.... huhuhuhuhu... He took some blood, tested for some reason but he said I WAS NEGATIVE OF ANY INFECTION! I didn't trust it, nor believed that I needed these,,,,,,,, I was even more stressful!!!!

It was passed 12 noon already, he advised us to see our doctor again but WE DID NOT!! We decided to come back to the camp straight away. Hopefully sometime this week, we could be able to get hold of this KOREAN OB-GYNE, otherwise, will insist to be taken down to LUANDA or TO LOOSE OUR BABY AGAIN... Please I need your prayers....

I Was Extremely Bad That I Had To Have A Malaria Test!!.

I was MALARIA POSITIVE! huhuhu... Now what's next? It was yesterday afternoon (Sunday) that I was suffering from extremely horrendous headache, that I could almost had thrown it to the wall!! I HAD NO CHOICE... I HAD TO CALL OUT OUR COMPANY NURSE (a Filipina)... Hubby went out to see her straight away, and after 5 minutes she arrived with a thermometer. I HAD NO FEVER...

Malaria attacks in so many ways, depending on how your body reacts in every attack! This time was my HEAD, no fever, but with joints' pains as well (which is quite common to every attack!!)...I remember when one of our Filipino friends died from Cerebral Malaria (this happens when not treating first signs quickly and take medicines accordingly), first sign of having a severe one - HEADACHE! By this thought alone made me so worried and so stressed with teary eyes...

When the Nurse left to get the test, along the way, she thought of bringing me to the clinic instead to go for a thorough check ups with our Doctor. Hubby drove me down there... I had my another PREGNANCY TEST again to confirm, BLOOD PRESSURE was normal, and PALCIFARUM test (this is to determine if I've had the severe one), thanks God it was negative! Lastly, was the MALARIA COUNTS test...

Off the record, I'VE HAD more than 10 counts of Malaria - meaning it was close to PALCIFARUM - meaning close to death if I hadn't had a severe headache! They had to give me medicines...

BUT WHAT ABOUT MY BABY? I was crying....hubby was crying too...

Thanks God that we still had a mild one suitable for PREGNANT WOMEN! It is called "ARINATE"... They convinced me that my baby will be safe, despite of my counts which meant to be given higher dose than above! This is the only way they can save both of us - MY BABY AND ME... I took two as soon as we got back to our house plus one Paracetamol, after 10 minutes all the pains were gone - I WAS SO RELIEVED THEN...

Now it's Monday, I didn't manage to go to work... they didn't sign my resignation while they gave a kind consideration of giving me "on and off" work loads until we go on vacation in two weeks time which was fine for us - an easy option while I can come and lie down if I feel bad anytime! A big favor that we are both very grateful for...

I am still having my medications (a 3 day course), let see what happens after this. But fingers' crossed nothing will ever happen to our baby...

I REALLY NEED YOUR SUPPORT THROUGH PRAYERS..

I Was Suffering From Extremely Agonizing Headache

I decided to have worked for only half day last Friday, as headache I had was almost unbearable! It was mainly because of late working hours during the past whole week, though I was working slowly, but I was convinced based on my past Malaria experiences, THAT I'VE HAD and was so sad to might have been attacked again, I was quite worried though...

Had spoken with hubby, advised me to go straight to our camp clinic to confirm what was causing my pains, but I strongly disagreed that I didn't bother to go. I thought would just have been due to pregnancy plus have been working so late.... Friday has gone through without visiting our doctor, for the reason being - I DIDN'T WANT TO TAKE ANY MALARIA MEDICINE otherwise WILL LOOSE MY BABY AGAIN, I was so emotional and had to cry and cry and cry.

Here came Saturday, I was even more in pain and it was on and off! The thought of TAKING MEDICINES stopped me from seeing our resident doctor. Everyone thought that I had malaria though...

I said to hubby I'd rather suffer than to loose our baby again...So I didn't take any medicine at all even pain killers.....

Customer Complaints To Various Companies Worldwide

Got an email from Dad this morning informing us regarding the list of companies which have loads of complaints from its customers, and obviously, affect them a lot!.. It is well worth looking at: http://www.connectotel.com/marcus/ceoemail.html

CEO E-Mail Addresses
Hint: If you have arrived here via a search engine, use the Find function (CTRL F) in your browser to locate the information on this page
So, you're fed up dealing with "Customer Services" on general-purpose contact e-mail addresses. Are you not getting replies, or not getting the replies you want? Time to take it to the top! Chief Executive Officers (CEO's) are very reluctant to publish their e-mail addresses. This page attempts to redress the balance by publishing the e-mail addresses for the CEO's of some UK companies, government and other organizations.

Some tips when e-mailing:
  • Be polite
  • Keep the information concise and to the point
  • Include customer reference numbers or invoice numbers, if applicable
  • Include a brief history of the issue, if applicable
  • Do not accept being passed back to "Customer Services" or elsewhere within the organization
  • Insist on a reply from the CEO
If you're working as part of a campaign group, send a personal, individually-created letter. Letters which are cut/pasted from a standard template will invariably receive a standard template response in reply... Good luck with your inquiry!

In-Game Money For Online Computer Games

One of the most interesting and unexpected things to arise from online gaming is the birth of real-world economies based on the value of persistent world game characters and items. Game assets such as characters, currencies and items are increasingly being traded for real money. Game operators have reacted in various ways: some attempt to curtail the trade, while others encourage it. A growing number are getting involved in the trade themselves.

Nevertheless, trade in these digital goods continues to grow, and it has already gone from being a pastime pursued only by a handful of hard-core gamers to being a fledgling industry in its own right. Buy Warhammer Online Gold to play this all time favorite, most popular game and currency which is known as World of Warcraft which uses mainly gold as its currency.

MyMMOShop is a e-commerce website that sells virtual currency or in-game money for online computer games, known as MMO (Massively multiplayer online) games or massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG). They offer an amazing service, excellent prices, and an incredibly easy delivery system.

Digital Cameras To Capture The Moments

Photography is one of our passions by using our personal digital cameras. We don't have to be a professional photographer to be able capture every moments of our lives. I love my digital camera too, which is one of the essentials wherever I go. In this modern technology we have right now, we seldom see people who uses polaroid ones, and what makes digital cameras more handy to us? First, we can be able to see the photos right after we hear the click, we can delete, re-do all over again if we may don't like it, and it doesn't take such a long time to share with friends and families.

In fact, I really wanted to buy my dad this Canon EOS Rebel Digital XTi 400D 10.1 Megapixel Digital Camera W/ 18-55mm Lens---Black, which is not so expensive though. He loves his photography profession back home. Have been looking for this somewhere else but quite expensive though, thanks to have seen this website. I would make him a very happy dad on his coming birthday.

Moreover, giving 'digital cameras' as presents is becoming popular nowadays! It doesn't have to be expensive to be able to buy one for your best friend or for your family, we can see loads of online stores selling varieties of any digital cameras or any photography essentials and accessories.
One of them is 42nd Street Photo which specializes in photography, a camera store which also known for over 40 years which offers all the latest on photography, latest digital cameras and accessories.

They also give us an idea which ones are the best through their "best selling" section, and also some close out items at your choice at a very affordable prices. To own something you love to be doing is a great pleasure.

What do You Love About Your Husband

I wished my husband is a blogger too, so he could read every bits I write here, but what I do instead is ask him to open it if there's something I wanted him to read especially those comments from my friends. Flattering comments as he may called them, he's been so happy for me to have found more friends in blogging, not just earning knowledge and money, but most of all a treasure which couldn't be taken away from me or from us - the pleasure of having loads of friends.

Anyway, we don't talk about friends here, do we? lol.. This is to be dedicated solely for husbands... I don't know where to start really.. Dhangz Umma had given me this interesting tag, hubby's are lucky huh! Wished there could be a husband blogger too to start spreading a tag for wives, but then who's going to write for me the fact that hubby is not a blogger! Anyway, uummm give me another 24 hours to compile everything hahahahaha.. not that much!

Okay, here we go:

I always love him the way he makes me laugh all the time! Look at his photo above, its a typical him who always makes faces (only in front of me).. hahaha... HE DOES WHAT HE CAN DO TO MAKE ME LAUGH. Even if I am extremely angry whether at him or at somebody else, his silly-funny faces always make me laugh!

```````````````````````````````````````````````
I have known my husband for a total of almost 7 years now and been married for only a year and 2 months. His undying love from the very beginning makes me love him even more! I do appreciate everything you've been doing for me my luv!
```````````````````````````````````````````````

I love his style or motive in decision making, that he has to wait and consult to me first before making any move at all! That we have to agree things first before taking the first and final steps.

``````````````````````````````````````````````
I love the way he confides in me all his plans for our future kids, our future as a couple, our future house, our future business, our future professional kids, where they have to go to school and finish their degrees (which will be in UK)...
```````````````````````````````````````````````

I love him for his reasons of buying our flat in the UK (temporary for th
e moment), that he wanted to have one close to primary school, church, local village's supermarket, close to the post office, Chinese and Indian take-aways, high school, public park - which they are all walking distances. For the reason being, to be more convenient for me while he is working abroad....

```````````````````````````````````````````````
I love the way he handles things - that he always comes up with the right thing to say and to do especially in dealing with my moods - when I'm confused, angry or hurt. He knows exactly what to say to ease my feelings....
```````````````````````````````````````````````

I love the way he thinks and provide everything even before I say it. He knows how to interpret my facial expressions. Plus every time we go on vacation (off from work), he always thinks of going to a place where I wanted to visit....

```````````````````````````````````````````````
I love his being forgetful - he tend to forgets loads of things when it comes to himself but never he forgets anything for me.. hahahaha, that favors me really! hehehe joke luv!
``````````````````````````````````````````````

I love his devotion to our marriage, to all our plans for the future and I love not only him, also his whole family - for having been welcomed heartily and warmly in their family!

```````````````````````````````````````````````
Last, but not the least, I love his reasons of giving me that WONDERFUL BEACH WEDDING IN MAURITIUS - because HE WANTED TO TELL THE WORLD HOW HE LOVED ME SO MUCH, even if it would meant for him to have spent an equivalent of a BMW car, he didn't mind it. I felt so loved, and felt the luckiest woman in the world! I never realized to have had a wedding as wonderful as we had, which was more than a dream, a fairytale to be proud of until the end of time! Plus the chance he had given to my both parents to travel outside the Philippines, a very romantic holiday at the same time. Thank you so much honey...
I think everyone has this tag already in their blogs, sistah Umma has most of the names I wanted to share this with. Never mind, I will encourage everyone to grab this and share with us HOW LUCKY YOU ARE TO HAVE YOUR HUSBAND!!
Oh I love this tag Dhangz... Thank you kindly.... Whew, I changed my mind, I will pass this on to (excluding those ones been tagged by sistah Umma) Nanay Belen, Beth, Grace Draper, Benrechie, Rechie, Recel, te Lanie, te Ces, te Mira, Lingz, Weng, Chelle, Filipina, Ria, Lynn, Faye, Mom Gen, Mom Joy, Iyrel, Poray, Belle, Maria, Mommy Elvz, Mommy Liz, Mharms, etc...
Pink HEART Tag - Listen To What My Heart Says
Got this tag from one of my wonderful friends here in blogosphere - sistah Rose of Rose's Obstacles and Glories. I like the thoughts behind this tag my dear. Well, the fact that I love meditating, analyzing and appreciating things around us. Let us pause for a while and think of what God has to say to us!
Please spend time to scroll down and take time to read every line, and ask God what does He want to tell you.
The 10 Commandments are not a multiple choice.
Your mind is like a parachute...it functions only when open..
One thing you can give and still keep...is your word.
You lie the loudest when you lie to yourself you lack the courage to start, you have already finished. One thing you can't recycle is wasted time. Ideas won't work unless ' You' do.
The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts.
The heaviest thing you can carry is a grudge.
Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.'A sharp tongue can cut your own throat.
If you want your dreams to come true, you mustn't oversleep.
Of all the things you wear, your expression is the most importan.
The best vitamin for making friends..... B1.
The pursuit of happiness is the chase of a lifetime! It is never too late to become what you might have been.
Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Forget about the one's who don't. Believe everything happens for a reason. Need Phone Cards and Calling Cards?
Calling Cards is one of the fundamentals people wouldn't survive without! We can't live a day without getting in touch with our love ones, whether we live just drives or hours away or living miles away, we always try to get hold of them. Here at work we always buy spare ones in case we needed to call emergency aside from the company satellite phone we are using.
While overseas calling has become a part of everyday business activities. Many people travel to different countries for several months a year. The world has become a global village and people are searching for cost-effective ways to call their overseas pals. Phone Cards
use the latest technology allowing us to make international calls at cheap rates.
Prepaid Phone Card can be used even if we don't have telephone service at home. The call rates are much lower compared to the normal cards. We can even use these cards wherever we go, we can always make many international countries with a few cents per minute, and we can make international as well as local cards with the same card.
Chinese Man Explodes While Being Cremated!!
This is very strange.... lightning was in fact killed by a small weather rocket whose existence was only discovered when his body exploded during his cremation...
Mr. Wang’s body explodes in the cremation chamber! A Chinese man, killed by a weather rocket, was thought to have died from getting struck by lightning until his body exploded at his own funeral. Wang Diange was attending a wake in his home when an explosion took off half of his roof and left him dead in the wreckage. Because it had been a stormy day, family members and the police assumed that lightning was what killed Wang and left half of his home in ruins.
However, as Wang was being placed into the cremation chamber at his own funeral, his body exploded, causing the chamber’s oven doors to fly off their hinges. Only then, spectators discovered a small piece of twisted metal, which led them to what really killed Mr. Wang:
A small weather rocket filled with silver iodide—shot into the sky in order to break up hail into rain—failed to explode in the atmosphere, and instead had fallen through Wang’s roof and acted like a bullet, instantly killing Wang as it was lodged into his body.
Three years later, the Weather Bureau has only given the Wang family 80,000 yuan (approx. $12,000USD) as a compensation for their loss.
What's Your Friendship Style?
Your Friendship Style is Empathetic
You deeply care about each person you're friends with. For you, friendship is all about the personal connection.
You tend to know everything about your friends' lives... and they know everything about yours. Your friends are your confidants.
You are always there for your friends. You celebrate their successes and support them in their times of need.
You are as loyal as they come. And you expect the same loyalty and understanding from your friends in return.
You and another Empathetic Friend: Have a amazing friendship, when it works. You care for each other deeply, but you often end up with hurt feelings and drama.
You and a Gregarious Friend: May have a bit of a one sided friendship. You adore your Social Friend, but you sometimes feel a bit neglected.
You and an Independent Friend: Struggle a bit. You are very interested in your Independent Friend's life, but your friend often needs more space.
Riddle of the Day
I found this a very funny one folks, I hope you like this! Enjoy....
Arnold Schwarzenegger has a big one.
Michael J. Fox has a small one.
Madonna doesn't have one.
Clinton uses his all the time.
Bush is one.
Mickey Mouse has an unusual one.
Liberace never use his on women.
Jerry Seinfeld, is very very proud of his.
Cher claims that she took on 3.
We never see Lucy use Desi's.
What is it then? Answer below (this is pretty good)
The answer is: 'A LAST NAME'.
You didn't think I'd post this one, did you? hahaha
Sometimes we just need to pause for a while, to realize what we were been missing in life! You could sit back and relax, meditate God's words, read some articles, read some blogs, stop writing, read bulk of emails or start cleaning your spams. Surely, there are quite a lot of things we find relaxing, anything that soothe our senses to be able to regain energy.
I find it very comforting too when I can be able to read anything that makes me laugh. I got this one from my friend, I thought it was worth sharing this to you.
Birthday Wish Award
Sistah Dona of Memoirs of a Pinay in America reminded me of my birthday at this early stage already. Still a lot to count before my birthday comes:) I never used to bother about it, it comes when it comes, in fact, I even hated the thought of having another year again.. lol...
However, this is the exciting thing about this coming birthday of mine. You know why? I WILL BE DUE TO GIVE BIRTH the same month as my birthday! When is it gonna be Madz? END OF SEPTEMBER my dears... My birthday is the 28th September, and will give birth sometime between the 3rd and the last weeks. Can't really wait...
The rules are...
1. Make a list of what you want on your birthday...
2. The list should be 15 numbers
3. Post the image of this award in your posting
4. Give it to 10 friends of yours.
HERE ARE MY WISH FOR MY BIRTHDAY: (you still have at least 9 months to prepare, so don't worry too much okay?) hahaha...
1) That God will grant His birthday present to me, that He would answer our prayers - to see my 1st baby healthy. Having him/her on my birth month is additional thing to be grateful about.
2)
All I want is my baby - even if it would mean for us to celebrate in bed for as long as I have my baby and hubby beside me, I would be the happiest person to celebrate birthday... huhuhuhu
3) Oh not only baby, would be nice to have TWINS - to see hubby holding the other one while I will be busy with the other one... hahaha can't really wait to see our reaction!!
4) To have fulfilled our plans by that time - to be able to finish the renovations to be made in our mango plantation in Bohol - house and converting the rice fields into fish ponds, hubby's wish.
5) To still see hubby in this job - recession has been affecting a lot of jobs elsewhere, so as the diamond industry. Though we may be closing down in 2 months time time, but fingers crossed to be back in operation by then! A lot of money involved, enough to buy another mantion!! hahahahaha
6) To have bathroom in the UK be fixed by then.
7) To be able to finish my 6 months review for the CPA Board Exams - while I stay in the Philippines during my pregnancy period, might as well to take a review and will try as much as I could to be able to take the board exams at the same time.
8) To become a Certified Public Accountant - having a license is one of my dreams. I had to set this aside for my family, 8 years ago when I decided to stop my review (pause my ambitions for a while) and have left the country for Angola hurray!!!
9) To see my sister who is working in Taiwan - we seldom
see each other, the last time we were in the Philippines together was 3 years ago! Maybe I should ask her to come home when giving birth.
10) Somebody must give time to go shopping for me - to buy me presents hahahaha
11) To see you in person! Yes you Don, I am talking to you...:)
12) To meet my blogging Sisters and Dhangz in person too.
13) To see my nursing sister to go back to school again - to finish her last year after giving birth this coming May. She should be alright by then. I want to see her as a Professional Nurse, not just being a mother!
14) To see my best friend who is now in Italy - we've chatted when they were still in CA before her hubby assigned in Italy. Never heard from then. Aside from my wish to go around Europe!
15) Making more friends in blogosphere - it is such a pleasure to be recognized by other bloggers too, to be called as one of their friends, to be remembered always and to be taken care of.
True friends are hard to find, and I do believe that it doesn't take such a long time to know a person, talking with each other most of the times (even if haven't met in person) as a way of knowing - IS MORE THAN ENOUGH TO DETERMINE YOU AS GENUINE AS I AM TO YOU....
Let me pass this on to the following, whom I have found the real treasure of a true friend - back to Dona, Dhemz, Umma, Faye/Maus, Rechie, Lynn, Belle, Amy, Katty, Cookie, Rose, Mommy J, Te Lanie, te Cecille, Elizabeth, Richelle, Hazel, Weng.
Hubby Is Experiencing Some Cravings For Me?
Let me start this with a BIG LAUGH!! Lol , I was laughing to death when hubby told me that he had 2 GREEN APPLES this morning which he doesn't normally do! That as early as 8am before his morning meetings, he had to go to our main kitchen to ask for some APPLES? hahahahaha...
Really weird in the sense that he doesn't normally look for something to
eat in the mornings nor craving for anything at all? DO HUSBANDS CRAVE TOO? Is this for real?
I have been wandering around the net, looking for an answer to this question, but could not find any... Maybe you have the answer for me.
What do I crave instead? Yes same as hubby, I do love eating green apples too, in fact, just two nights ago, I had to see him asking to go to our main kitchen to ask for green apples. Plus during that night I ALSO WANTED TO EAT FRIED CHICKEN...LOL, and at lunch times I always wanted my FRESH TOMATOES mixed with slices of AVOCADO too...
When I mentioned FRIED CHICKEN, he laughed at me instead and said he'll ring up KFC. "You must be kidding me, 'don't you ever tease me like that". We know it doesn't exist here, feel sad really... Though probably our baby is asking to feed him/her.
At least I only crave for foods that we could find here, otherwise, could be worst!
My Pregnancy Test Result and Poems for My Future Baby
I was so overwhelmed the moment I saw the result when I took my test the other day. We both could not even stopped putting smiles on our faces and thanking God to have been given another chance again, another hope to see the fruit or maybe fruits:) of our love and marriage. I could not ask for more now, except to have a healthy pregnancy and of course a healthy baby. That the little angel inside of me could be able to survive for 9 months, that she or he is eager to see us same as what we do!
My baby, here I am to offer you my love as your mother:
How Much Longer
Mitzi J Confer
I'm waiting so impatiently
To see your sweet face
It seems to be taking forever
Before my life, you Grace
.
My arms long to hold you
To touch your soft skin
How much longer now
Before I see your tiny chin
.
All my instincts tell me
It has to happen soon
But as the days and weeks go by
My life is filled with gloom
.
How much longer, Lord
Must my arms ache to hold
This precious life inside me
His birthdate yet untold
.
From the Beginning...
Mothers give the greatest gift,
that we on earth can receive.
A life to live and love to give;
the day she does conceive.
She carries me close, inside her.
Her heartbeat I do hear.
Her voice sounds like Angels singing-
The first sweet sound I hear.
Her touch is; Oh so gentle.
So secure I feel inside.
Only wondering how much longer,
in her womb I must abide.
Then the day comes,
when I no longer need to stay.
I only want to be outside-
in her arms I wish to lay.
I twist I turn,
I push I shove,
I open my eyes
and look above.
So scared I feel,
I just want to hide,
then her voice I hear,
so close by my side.
Then I see her-
The most Beautiful sight I've seen,
reaching out for me- her eyes full of tears,
yet still a happy gleam.
I snuggle and cuddle,
as close as I can.
As she kisses me gently,
and then takes me by my little hand.
I love her instantly,
as much as my small heart can bare.
Bundled up in her arms;
I grasp a strand of her soft hair.
I wrap it in my hand,
So, so very tight.
wanting to make sure that-
she is with me throughout the night.
I settle in quickly,
and slowly drift off to sleep.
As my mother carefully watches over me,
and counts each toe on my feet.
I see her in my dreams,
I feel her in my heart.
And I know this feeling will be here, in life,
even if we are apart.
So Mother, when you think of me,
know that this is true;
When I think of Undying Love,
Mother I am thinking of YOU!
Home Improvement Tips At Sinks USA
DIY system is proven to be and a very effective way to save money. At home, hubby and I always love to do, repair, assemble things by our own. All we do is to drive through to any DIY stores to buy all the materials needed! I never realized before that it was going to be fun, though I always thought doing and constructing yourself is for all time to be an interesting work to do.
If we start doing things, we always make sure to finish it to be able to see the result of all our efforts. Just few weeks before we came back to work, we managed to finish your garden,
cleaning our carpets, bathroom would the next thing we need to do (to replace the whole lot), and kitchen was the last thing we did! We replaced the cupboards, and we bought a new working surface, but it was tough as to what sort of color would match our kitchen paint and so with the kitchen sinks.
We decided to buy Equal Double Bowl Undermount Stainless Steel Kitchen Sink, I just love having two bowls to give me an extra room - one where to put the liquid soap and the other one where to drain the washed ones. Find the following specifications:
  • Heavy duty 18 Gauge, Premium 304 Series 18/10 chrome-nickel Stainless Steel Construction
  • Sound Deadening Pad and Insulation Paint
  • Ships with Cut-Out Template and Installation Clips
  • 3.5 In. Drain Opening
At Sinks USA you could be able to find varieties of unique designs and manufacturing company of sink related products. Which compelling combination of selection and value are their main concern.
Anyone Wants To Buy A $30,000 Cell Phone for Valentines Day
Far too out of my price range but still smoking hot! Well, if I will be given chance to own it, I'd rather have the money instead. This is so ridiculous!!Have you heard of this Vertu Boucheron 150? Apparently, this is made from “solid gold” and is meant to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Boucheron jewelry house in Paris. According to the designer, it took 1,000 hours to cut into shape, 700 hours to hand polish, and more than 500 hours to build.
This is probably the world's hottest new phone and
Vertu's most beautiful ever made! It is the creation of Vertu for Parisian jewellry house Boucheron, with the occasion of the 150th Anniversary.
“The essence of the single edition Vertu Boucheron 150 was to create something unique with signals of both brands,” said Frank Nuovo,
Vertu Principal Designer. “Using the Vertu Signature platform, but taking it away from the core design and creating a visibly stunning statement that breaks all expectations of mobile phone design, resulting in a true piece of sculpture. The constantly changing angled surfaces allow a cut stone appearance, inspired by the clearly faceted stones which are a significant part of Boucheron’s core craft. The recognisable Vertu V shape has seemingly morphed into random proportioned patterns and directions of the three sided surfaces creating a perfect blend of Vertu and Boucheron elements. The challenge was to gain visual sparkle not from precious stones but instead through pure form and line achieved with precious faceted metal.
This amazing cell phone made of solid gold was named Vertu Boucheron 150 and, according to the designer, it took 1000 hours to cut its unique shape, 700 hours for the hand polish and more than 500 hours to hand build. It sports an extremely durable sapphire crystal keypad, featuring high-speed 3G connectivity, and comes in a cool wooden case made from Noce Pedullo walnut tree by the Swiss house Reuge.
As you open its case you hear the signature Vertu ringtone.
FRIENDSHIP versus LOVE Define
These two things may sound very complicated, but for me - FRIENDSHIP can survive without love, LOVE cannot live without friendship. Here are some points you could help to identify one way or the other....
FRIENDSHIP is a quite walk in the part with the one you trust, while LOVE is when you feel like you are only two around.
FRIENDSHIP is when they gaze into your eyes and you know they care, while LOVE is when they gaze into your eyes and it warms your hear.
FRIENDSHIP is being close even when you are far apart, while LOVE is when you can still feel their hand on your heart when they are not near.
FRIENDSHIP is hoping that they experience the very best, while LOVE is when you bring them the very best.
FRIENDSHIP occupies your mind, while LOVE occupies your soul.
FRIENDSHIP is knowing that you will always try to be there when in need, while LOVE is when you will give up everything to be at their side.
FRIENDSHIP is a warm smile in the winter, while LOVE is a warming touch that sends a pulse through your heart.
LOVE is a beautiful smile to which nothing compares. A tender laugh, which opens your heart A single touch that melts away your fears. A smell that reminds you of the tenderness of heaven. A voice that reminds you of the innocence of youth.
All I can say is that, this touched my heart. They are so true and once you fall in love, you will realize how much you really need friendship in it as well. Excellent...
Reveal Your Natural Skin Beauty with 7 Cream with Manuka Honey
I must admit that I am so fussy about what sort of cream to use, which I do have my normal cream in the morning and a different one in the evening before bed time. I always do try new things, and I am considering of trying this 7 Cream with Manuka Honey as well.
Apparently, this cream while excellent as a moisturizer, protective barrier cream, and infection preventer, was also designed to be a promoter of healing for damaged skin. It is therefore very useful for injuries and burns as well as eczema/dermatitis type conditions and fungal infections. It is worth trying this.
10 Points of Keeping Friendships
Friends are gifts to treasure, if we don't know how to take care in every "friendship relationship" we have, we tend to loose it. I do believe that friendships are fragile things, and require as much handling as any other fragile and precious things. I am talking about you friends, yes THIS ARTICLE IS FOR YOU...because I DO TREASURE THE KIND OF FRIENDSHIP WE DO HAVE HERE...
"A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out." "A friend is one who walks in when others walk out"... Walter Winchell
"A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart, and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words.".... by Donna Roberts
"A friend is one who believes in you when you have ceased to believe in yourself."... by Lysha
1. FOCUS ON WHAT YOU CAN GIVE TO A FRIEND, NOT WHAT YOU CAN GET OUT OF A FRIENDSHIP.
If being happy is your only motive for wanting someone to be your friend, then you are not being a real friend. Don't get caught up in keeping tabs on who has given most in the friendship. Give to your friends regardless of how much they give to you.
2. ENCOURAGE YOUR FRIEND.
Real friends inspire and push each other to be the best that they can be, rather than drag each other down. They are happy when other people achieve their goals.
3. BE WILLING TO FORGIVE.
Don't let hurt turn to grudge. This is one sure way to destroy a friendship. Forgive your friend and move on.
4. TACTFULLY POINT OUT THEIR MISTAKES.
This is one way to show concern for others. If you really care, you will tactfully point out a specific example for his own good. But once you've brought the problem to your friend's attention, don't harp on it all the time. Don't walk away from a friendship when you see some of your friend's faults. Be patient with a friend as he or she tries to change. Realize that nobody is perfect.
5. BE RELIABLE.
When you say you are going to be there, be there.
6. DON'T TRY TO CONTROL YOUR FRIENDS.
Real friendship does not mean you always have to be together. It may be tempting to have a fun person all to yourself, and feel threatened when your friend spends time with others. If you are afraid to let your friends out of your sight, you are probably afraid of losing them. Good friendship will endure time spent apart. You and your friends may learn to appreciate each other even more.
7. BE THERE FOR THE GOOD AND THE BAD TIMES.
Celebrate with them if your friends are excited about something. But don't be there just for the good times. When your friend is upset about something, give them your full attention. Most of the time, what friends really need is a sympathetic ear, someone who understand their feelings.
8. LEARN TO ACCEPT PERSONALITY DIFFERENCES IN YOUR FRIENDS.
Be careful not to evaluate other people by how you react in a particular situation. Do not automatically take your friends' behavior personally.
9. DON'T BE A BLABBERMOUTH.
Learn and be willing to keep each other's secrets.
10. DON'T LET ARGUMENTS DESTROY YOUR FRIENDSHIP.
Suppose you're having a discussion with a friend and after you've said what you think is true, they still disagree. Don't keep arguing until you get mad with each other. Just drop it. Your desire to win the argument may ruin your friendship.
This is not a tag/award, but I would like to take this opportunity to extend my warmest gratitude to all who have made a special place in my heart.
Honest Scrap Award
Thanks my sistah Umma for tagging me with this, uumm interesting huh! While I grabbed this from sistah Dhemz blog, I know you don't mind.. hehehehe
Honest Scrap Award Rules:
When accepting this auspicious award, you must write a post bragging about it, including the name of the misguided soul who thinks you deserve such acclaim, and link back to said person so everyone knows he or she is real.
Choose a minimum of 7 blogs that you find brilliant in content or design. Or improvise by including bloggers who have no idea who you are because you don’t have 7 friends. Show the 7 random victims’ names and links and leave a harassing comment informing them that they were prized with “Honest Weblog.” Well, there’s no prize, but they can keep the nifty icon. List at least ten honest things about yourself. Then, pass it on!
10 Facts About Me:
1. Working abroad at my early 20's - had to leave the country for my family! They were my inspiration of giving my best to have gotten this job, yea I am still working here in the middle of nowhere! I only worked for 1-1/2 years in Manila and left by then.
2. I am the eldest among 6 sisters and only 1 brother - this is the best example of "go to the world and multiply" bible verse! hahaha... but I don't think so, this was because my father wanted to have a baby boy...:)
3. I am working in Angola, Africa (diamond mining company) - most bloggers think I am either in the US or somewhere other than in the bush! :)
4. I love chocolates - I always complain about getting fat but the way I eat them, unbelievable!
5. I had my first miscarriage last year (twin babies) - hubby and I were both extremely devastated!
6. I am PERFUME ADDICT - the fact that any 100ml's would only last for about 1 month even less than... I put on 5-6 squirts every time I use, and put on twice sometimes 3 times a day! hehehe.. So, if you ever thought of sending me present, I prefer perfumes.. hahahaha joke joke...
7. I am a PASTOR'S KID - huh? YES!!.. did I give you a shock? hahaha... Yes I know what you're thinking... Well, if there's such a "prodigal son" - I am the "prodigal daugher" equivalent...but I am not that bad though....
8. I AM A MONTH PREGNANT - YES, only now that I have found out...yeppppeeyyyyyy, I'm gonna be a mother soon....psssttt, still too early to get excited!! THIS IS A TOP SECRET...
9. I never used to love kitchen - so baking and cooking wasn't my passions then! I had to learn otherwise hubby will leave me and get replaced... hahaha joke!!
10. I don't get pimples very often - why? donnu.. They said monkey don't get because they eat bananas, and bananas is one of my favorite... Probably, I am monkey too.. hahahaha
Everyone is welcome to grab this tag. I believe this has already been circulated all over blogosphere, I will break it at least only this time... hehehe
Innovative Car DVD Players For Your Road Entertainment
Here at work in Angola, our company doesn't provide any accessories to cars at all! It is always like, YOU WANT IT - YOU PAY IT FROM YOUR OWN POCKET! Our General Manager just got back from his 6 weeks' holiday off (he was out for Christmas and New Year), and showed us his new bought CAR DVD PLAYER system for his Toyota Land Cruiser. He loves gadgets (don't we all?), and he always buys any new model that is currently out in the market. Obviously, he can afford anything he likes! Hubby and I were so impressed with that car DVD player, it was absolutely stunning!
Apparently, it is Audiovox Car Dual Custom Headrest System with Built-In DVD Player for Lexus LX470; Toyota Landcruiser (Stone) - 922511. One of its specs that I like with this one is its got an adjustable screens which obviously allow viewer to choose the optimum angle, with remote control, built-in dual IR transmitter, two dual-channel wireless head phone, wireless FM modulator, and a wire gamed port for gaming, etc...
Won't Be Advertising My Blogs Through Entrecard
I am sponsoring at least 2 CONTETS (and will be 3 if ever), and will be on in a few weeks time (or this coming February), which are being hosted by Ate Mira and Gengen. In view of this, I am saving my EC credits since I have offered to give EC CREDITS and CASH PRICES. Take note, same offer from each of my 3 BLOGS (so times 3)...:)
Dropaholics mates, droppers, readers, EC advertisers - don't be surprised if you won't be seeing my EC badges around for at least a month, this would also mean that you won't be receiving any advert requests from me in any of my 3 blogs. Except of course those who want to advertise on my blogs, you are all welcome to do so, it is always my pleasure to serve you guys!!
But the good news is, you will be seeing me more often to drop them as much as I could to be able to earn more credits. Will try to break the 300 EC drops a day every blog, every single day! hahaha... Here we go again, if I am 92% addicted to blogging, probably the next thing would be - I am 100% EC dropaholic!! Yahooooooooooooo
Want To Buy A New Ford Car?
April 2008 was my very first time to have visited England. I was quite surprised that most cars you can see everywhere, were Ford cars. In fact, my parents-in-law have two cars both FORDS! Apparently, I have learned that any models Ford is selling out were known to be good, fast, reliable and affordable. Why not other make? Saving on petrol has been the biggest move you could ever make when you live in the UK, due to high living standard.
New Ford for this new year? Check Buy Your Car for the latest cars open in the market. Through their new car section, you can complete a quote request and submit it. This request is then circulated to the most competitive dealers for the brand you are looking for. The Dealer will then contact the potential customer to discuss requirements further and provide the most competitive new car quote in the UK.
Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs
When I was a kid or rather I should say "in my entire childhood years", we didn't have television (imagine living in an island without electricity!)... Meaning, I wasn't exposed to these fascinating stories, fairy tales, fantasies, that all kids love to watch. Not even a chance to pay P5.00 to go to our local CD movie house to watch. I now bluntly expressed how tough our life was 20-25 years ago. In short, I didn't have any fascinations when I was a kid....
Anyway, nothing much to say except "Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs" was one of the famous fairy tales during those years, and at all times... You'd probably say oh yes, I have seen these plenty times over, not a surprise. Surprise, surprise, surprise... :) At this instant, my past childhood has come now being captivated by this one, I do really enjoy it. Enchanting! ENJOY.....
I NOW PRESENT TO YOU......lol
THE 7 DWARFS AND THE SNOW WHITE...
The seven dwarfs always left to go to work in the mine early each morning. As always, Snow White always stayed home doing her domestic chores.
As lunch time approached, she would prepare their lunch and carry it to the mine.
One day, as she arrived at the mine with the lunch, she saw that there had been a terrible cave-in. Tearfully, and fearing the worst, Snow White began calling hoping against hope that the dwarfs had somehow survived.
'Hello... Hello' she shouted. 'Can anyone hear me? Hello'
For a long while, there was no answer. Losing hope, Snow White again shouted. 'Hello! is anyone down there?'
Just as she was about to give up all hope, she heard a faint voice from deep within the mine.
singing; 'Vote for GORDON BROWN, vote for GORDON BROWN'....
Snow White fell to her knees and prayed, 'Oh, thank you, God! at least Dopey is still alive'. (toink)...Hahahahahaha... hahahaha (must be for British!).....
Overcoming Alcohol & Drug Addiction
It always makes me feel sad every time I heard some outrageous news about drug addiction and any alcohol obsession related incidents happened everywhere, especially that youngsters are always involved! While irresponsible, busy, "no time for kids" parents are to some extent, are being the ones held responsible of their miseries.
Alcohol and Drug Recovery is situated at Three Hills Ranch specializing in giving treatment programs and services, dedicated in giving professional care in a natural setting and shelter to a ranch facility. Hill Recovery is one of your addiction solution.
Indeed, its nice to know that there are people out there who is willing to give their hands in reaching out people's lives, in bringing broken hopes into lives again.
9 Ways to Become a Morning Person
Blogger and a working wifey at the same time LIKE ME, then I would say I should have been a morning person! But the trouble is, I AM NOT - I DO HATE GETTING UP EARLY IN THE MORNING, so do MY HUBBY! In short, every single morning we wake up, we always moan of feeling like not getting up, to take shower and ready to get to work. In fact, the first phrase we always say every single morning is - "I DON'T WANNA GET UP, CAN YOU WORK FOR ME HONEY PLEASE...
Especially that I do paid posts while opps normally come up only between 11-12 midnight (our time), and writing them until 3am, so I end up of staying late not to lose them! Tough life huh, but it is being said "IF YOU SNOOZE, YOU LOOSE"... Geezzz, and that's every other night, so meaning - the more I become lazy to get up in the mornings...
If you're a late-night or late-morning person living in an early-rising world, here's how to adjust your body clock and make getting up easier.
Night owls don't have it easy. After all, few people can choose to show up at work or school late. And that night-owl tendency--sleep doctors call it a "delayed sleep phase," in which you go to bed and rise late--is hard to change. "Some people have this tendency right from the minute they come out of the womb," says
Dr. Nancy Collop, director of the Johns Hopkins Hospital Sleep Disorders Center in Baltimore. However, staying up late and hauling yourself out of bed painfully in the morning is a bad idea: adults typically need seven or eight hours of sleep a night, and chronic sleep deprivation has been linked to a range of risks, from car accidents to obesity and depression. Fortunately, a few easy steps Collop recommends can help shift the body's internal clock and win you some precious dream time.
1. Routine, Routine: Try to get up at the same time each day--even on weekends and days off. Disruptions in your schedule could throw off the body's sleep pattern for weeks.
2. Let the Sun Shine In: Sleep in a room with eastern exposure, and with the blinds up, so the morning sun shines in. Light is how the body sets its clock. Or, if your room lacks early sun, invest in a "light box" that greets you with full-spectrum light mimicking the sun. Light boxes typically shine 2,000 to 10,000 lux, depending on how far away you sit. Collop recommends an hour of 2,500 lux each morning, but even a half hour will help. Although some people can reduce the time they sit before the light box as the body adjusts; many relapse quickly into their old sleep habits when they stop using the light box altogether.
An ordinary lamp won't do the trick. However, at night it may be helpful to avoid spending too much time in stores with bright lighting in the evening. One 2003 study of Japanese junior-high-school students concluded that those who went to convenience stores after sunset stayed up longer and slept less.
3. Get Some Extra Help: Sleeping pills may be needed to get to sleep in the evening, but ideally only temporarily to establish the desired routine. A time-released drug may help by keeping the level of the medication even through the night.
4. Noises Off: Don't read or watch TV in bed. Use the bed for sleeping (and of course, sex).
5. Smart Snacks: Don't eat large meals late at night--but small snacks before bed are sometimes helpful, says Collop. Foods containing the amino acid tryptophan such as turkey and milk may help. Avoid alcohol. Although it induces sleepiness, once the effect wears off, booze interferes with sleep.
6. Curb the Caffeine: Don't rely on coffee. Small amounts can help in the morning, but night owls shouldn't drink coffee in the afternoon.
7. Wind Down, Not Up: Don't exercise near bedtime, as exercise raises the body temperature and can interfere with sleep.
8. Get Help: Consult a sleep specialist if you're having trouble getting into a sleep routine. And persistent sleepiness despite a good night's sleep may be a sign of a serious sleep disorder or other health condition
9. Don't Be Hard on Yourself: Morning slowness doesn't mean you are lazy or apathetic about your day. Night-owl tendencies are estimated to be at least 50 percent genetic in origin, says Steven Brown, a sleep exert at the University of Zurich. You may find rising early a struggle for much of your life. But even night owls often naturally shift toward earlier bedtimes and rising as they age, typically after 60.
Cocktail Dress in Sheer Chiffon For This Valentine's Day
This coming Valentine's Day, I would like to do something special between hubby and myself since its going to be our first time to celebrate Valetine's at home after we got married. We normally end up of staying here at work during major occasions, which we don't really have choice at all since we are under certain contract.
But not this February (we are going home in a few weeks time) - this is a month to celebrate a special event for families and for lovers. I was thinking we just have to go to a restaurant to dine-out and would like to mark this romantic dinner to make effort of dressing up for the occasion. I know you don't necessarily wear red cocktail dress. I love this on the photo.
As such, this Sheer Lingerie - Women's Cocktail Dress in Sheer Chiffon with Diagonal Cut in Halter Style (layered chiffon with a satin bow, rhinestone clip, angled cut), would be an ideal for the any cocktail party. Sheer means transparent, a see through type of material - SEXY!
I remember when I had my Stag Night with families, I wore more or less the same sort of style, but the material was exactly the same. Therefore, if you
are looking for see through and sexy cocktails dresses and any sheer lingeries then you have come to the right place, since FlirtyLingerie offers various sheer lingeries including panties and bras, mini dresses, and even sexy stockings.
The Man With No Face
Pictures below show Jose aged 14 when the tumor was still small, and as he is now.
I know you would be having the same reaction as me - I truly FEEL SO SORRY. In fact, when I first saw this on TV (My Shocking Story) I was shocked, speechless with teary eyes, to have been very thankful God has given, of all the good and even bad!
A victim of horrific facial disfigurement - known as "the man with no face" - has been given new hope by the advancement of medical science. Jose Mestre, from Lisbon, Portugal, has been losing his face to a huge growth for the past 35 years, distorting it out of all recognition - and it's still growing.
The tumor on 51-year-old Jose's face is a collection of blood vessels that have expanded, producing a raised red area on the skin.
He was born with a strawberry-coloured birthmark on his upper lip. At puberty it began growing, eventually smothering his lips, nose and one of his eyes. Now it is 33cm long and weighs 3kg.
Jose Mestre and his sister Guida in London.
But Jose's religious faith - as a Jehovah's Witness he refuses to accept a blood transfusion - has prevented him from having surgery to remove the growth. Jose's rare condition was the subject of a Discovery Channel TV documentary 'The Man With No Face', part of the 'My Shocking Story' series.
It reveals how top medical experts in London have now held out hope of helping Jose, a well-known figure around the streets of Lisbon.
A leading British surgeon has offered to treat Jose using ultrasound waves to coagulate the blood before the operation.
This should remove the risk of heavy bleeding - satisfying his religious beliefs about blood transfusions in the process.
Dr Iain Hutchison, of St Bartholomew's in London, is confident an operation with a harmonic scalpel could make him look a lot more normal.
Discovery Channel said: "Surrounded by a loving family, it seems incredible that he has not been treated and his face was allowed to grow so big. However, through years of medical misinformation, some misdiagnosis, lack of finances, and reluctance to undergo treatment due to religious beliefs, the growth has continued to obliterate his face."
My Shocking Story follows Jose on a journey through Europe to seek medical advice for one last chance to stop his face from suffocating him.
In this journey of a lifetime he travels by train, via Paris, to Britain, to meet the top experts in London. He goes through a series of tests, consultations, and meets other patients with a similar affliction. In London he also spends time with his sister Guida and the rest of his family, enjoys being a tourist in London, while making the biggest decision of his life.
Jose's dream is to live a long and normal life. Following the showing of the Discovery documentary he continues to adhere to his 'no blood transfusion' religious principles. But he has agreed to go back to the London hospital in 2008, when doctors hope to carry out specialist surgery to begin removing parts of his tumor, without the need for blood transfusions.
Instant Relief On Menstrual Cramps
Since from the very beginning I have my monthly period, I have never ever had a single month without pains! Its always been a day before and during my first and second day. Therefore, I normally suffer from menstrual cramps for three complete days. Then, radiating to my hips, thighs and back. That's why I always have Ibuprofen and the hot water bottle with me wherever I go. They work for me. But then, there might be some other important things I need to know behind all these pains.
The trouble about these pains are, they sometimes stop and later on comes back which I then learned that this pain is described as a "colicky" type of pain which means the pain rises to a peak and falls, and starts all over again. Surely, all women know that this type of pain reflects the contraction of the uterus that underlie the cramps.
Period Pain Relief can be easily attained if only we are using the correct prescribed medicine, and or any other way that reduce or completely eliminate period pains. I found this interesting one, my very first time to hear about MN8, this is to be worn, so no worry about any chemical side effects at all! Moreover, I have just discovered that this is not only solely for eliminating menstrual cramps, this can also help boosting our body in more natural sense, giving us softer skin, shiny hair and stronger nails. Plus, this may include a reduction in water retention or feeling bloated, to have less facial spots and breast tenderness, and even a reduction in PMS or "mood swings"...
Wow, a breakthrough solution for those have been having period pains. An all-in-one solution! So why not trying these? I will definitely try these myself.
One Of My Posts Has Always Been On The First Page of Google
What a surprise to have been receiving comments from this particular post of mine - "HINGOTANAN Island Bohol, My Home Sweet Home", to have always been on the top 5 of Google's first page when they type in Hingotanan Island Bohol or Hingotanan Bohol or Hingotanan Island Philippines!
What is special about this island then?, and why do they bother to search about this place? Is there any interesting story behind this poor island?
Apparently, this is the ONLY ISLAND in BOHOL who offers High School Education (where obviously I graduated from and the rest of my family), a public school maintained by our Local Government. The heart of all the islands around... It has been producing competent, naturally intelligent and proficient professionals who are now working in competent companies anywhere around the world, where they have found their future.
Well, anywhere in the Philippines have produced quite a lot of professionals too, which a lot of local towns' breed are being proud of, now what are you talking about Madz? You'd perhaps ask me, what's your point of emphasizing this?
First point: People in the islands or any rural areas are always less fortunate compared to those who's parents do have everything to provide to their kids.
Second point
: Rich kids always go to reputable schools and regarded to be very advanced in education levels, compared to public schools especially
islands like ours to have always been the last priority around Bohol! Educational materials? NEXT TO NOTHING! Any computer for hands on or library to make some research for added learning? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!
Don't get me wrong here, but they are relatively and undeniably correct, they are facts not just hearsays! Or I might rather be biased here somewhere along the line, but I am talking about HINGOTANAN PEOPLE as a whole!!
I tell another thing, not a lot of people in our island are fortunate enough to continue their university, but if given a chance, THEY TRULY EXCEL!
That despite of hindrances due to financial problems (might be health deficiencies), they or we have always strived hard to have achieved of what and where they are right now! We are proud to be an Islander, truly to be a product of Hingotanan Island School, and proud to be from HINGOTANAN - A PLACE WHICH NEVER BE FORGOTTEN BY ALL WHO ARE NOW RESIDING OR WORKING EVERYWHERE!
Man Marries Dog To Lift Curse!!
Never in my entire life I could figure this out! We have all heard the 'man bites dog' stories, but how about a real-life 'man marries dog' tale!
But you won't find this kind of love story between man and beast in the ancient Indian sex manual.
This one takes the biscuit, and it could only happen in India, the land of the Kama Sutra.It took place for real during a traditional hindu ceremony at a temple in the southern state of Tamil Nadu.
The groom in question was a 33-year-old Indian farmer named Selvakumar, and he was wed to a female dog named Selvi.
He married his four legged bitch to atone for stoning two other dogs to death and stringing them up in a tree 15 years ago.
He believed the act cursed him and he had been suffering ever since, he told the Hindustan Times. After he stoned the dogs he said his legs and hands got paralyzed, he lost hearing in one ear, and his speech was impaired.
With doctors unable to help him, Selvakumar turned to an astrologer who told him he was cursed by the spirits of the dogs he had killed.
He could undo the curse only if he married a dog and live with it, the soothsayer warned. Family members chose a stray female dog who was then bathed and clothed for the wedding occasion.
Selvi the bride was brought to the temple by village women and a Hindu priest conducted the ceremony.
The paper showed a picture of Selvakumar sitting next to his canine bride, which was adorned in an orange sari and flower garland. The paper said the groom and his family then had a feast, while the dog got a bun.
It was reported that Selvi attempted to make a bolt for it -- apparently due to the big crowds -- but she was tracked down and returned to her new 'husband'.
"The dog is only for lifting the curse and after that, he plans to get a real bride," a friend of the groom said.
Deeply superstitious people in rural India sometimes organize weddings to dogs and other animals, believing it can beat certain curses.
Interesting Winter Vacations and Family Adventures @ Stowe Vermont
I have never experienced having a winter vacation yet, nor I know "skiing". This is one of my passions to learn how to ski, and this might be quite scary but I know for sure ski places offer lessons to all beginners. But why not if I am given a chance right?, and I know for sure this going to be a lot of fun!
Skiing would be a very interesting thing to learn, but attention ski lovers - did you know that Stowe in Vermont offers a
world class skiing opportunity to be experienced, whilst this is also being regarded as the best skiing in the East. Imagine in December alone, it has over seven feet of snow! Wow, this is absolutely incredible. The addition of a new inter-mountain transfer lift, new trails, a new beginner area, 2 new high-speed detachable quads and new fully-automated snow making on Spruce Peak has reinforced Stowe Mountain Resort's position as the East's premier skiing & snowboarding resort.If you also want to get away but need a place that will make both you and your kids happy, you came at the right place as they also offer kid-friendly winter vacations where kids can have a lot of fun, and they offer free ski for kids under 5 years old! While loads of great activities for all ages including skiing lessons and child care. They also have ice skating, cross-country skiing, sledding, museum visits, whip bar and grill, and family friendly clubhouse. The good news is, kids under 12 and under can be free as well!
Moreover, to have a romantic winter vacation hubby and I would like to experience. We have been going around visiting countries, lying on beaches, summer vacations, but never had this winter vacation where to stay in a snow-covered cottage.
Did You Know That Staying Up Late at Night Makes You Fat?
I beg your pardon? So that means, that those blogging addicts (like me) are putting on weights while having numerous sleepless nights sneaking in for apps? Do you all agree with these friends? I
BUT I AM NOT... DO YOU? Who can tell me if this is true if you have noticed on yourself or you can prove it or if this is yet to be proven or has already been proven to be true?
I know some of us have missing some point here: The longer we are awake, the more we eat and sitting at a computer is not burning many calories at all. Well, yea if we eat while blogging, definitely it will be especially we are sitting down for hours. Like me now, I just had a bar of Galaxy chocolates.. uumm yummy, if I continue doing this and will eventually makes a habit, then I will get fat!!!!
This is the other side of the story: While on the other hand, s
taying up later at night we'll tend to lose weight faster, because metabolism burns more calories than if we're asleep. Long work days will certainly make one loose weight. Seems that when the lights are off, our body is sedated by melatonin, and hunger pangs abate until we awaken.Assessment: This is far more productive than lying in bed wishing you were asleep, right. This is another story, another case - INSOMNIA.... But I tell you what, I am addicted to both daytime and night time! I mean, how can a person resist all those fascinating people, interesting stories and earning bucks in blogging! I could wander around blogosphere for DAYS. For example, my hubby is still at the lounge chatting while having some drinks with our friend who just got back from vacation, and it's now 1:30am and I'm STILL HERE. And having a great time! I really should log off now. No.......maybe later......hahahahaha ...
One thing that I know for sure, this is what happens to me after blogging....
Teenage Depression and Its Warning Signs
This post is solely dedicated to TEENAGERS or to those who are heartbroken or their FIRST LOVE RELATIONSHIPS and or problems at school, drug abuse, and worse, violence toward themselves and others. To their respective families who don't stop giving moral support to their kids, and to make you aware how would it be like if we would have stopped and listen to our fuming heart instead.
Teenage depression is more than just bad moods or broken hearts; it is a very serious clinical illness that will affect approximately 20% of teens before they reach adulthood. Left untreated, depression can lead to difficult home situations.
Certain young teens suffer from depression as result of situations surrounding their social or family life, but many are susceptible to the disease regardless of race, gender, income level or education. It is very important for parents to keep a watch on their teens - and to maintain a strong level of communication. Understanding the causes and warning signs of the illness can help parents prevent their teens from falling in to depression.
I understand how difficult it can be dealing with a troubled teenager because I have been there! I work with parents like you every day, looking for help and answers in desperation. You are not alone!
Common warning signs/symptoms of teenage depression (we need to be aware of):
  • Changes in eating and sleeping habits (eating and sleeping too much or too little)
  • Significant change in weight (loss or gain)
  • Reclusive, withdrawing from friends or family members
  • Quick to show anger/rage
Spectacular Attractions In Northumberland, North of England
Wow, what a coincidence to have been bumped into this northumberland cottages, since we are planning to visit my husband's Uncle and Auntie who also live in this county - Northumberland. Would be our first time. They live at River Cottage in Felton, though I haven't been there yet but I know for sure they are just around the corner. Really so exciting! We'll be flying out from here at work (Angola) by the 10th of February and would be heading there by the next week after we get there. If I am not mistaken, this would be around an 8-hour drive from where we live in Kent. This is absolutely one of the things too hubby and I love to be doing when we are at home - STROLLING AROUND, to see these impressive country sides of England.
By the way, my parents-in-law had spent their New Year at their place. They both said that one of the things they adore and fond of about this place is, its just amazing and different from where they live. They mentioned names of the places but I have this syndrome to forget things or names especially if I have never been to or experience myself. Let's all find out here.
Apparently, we can see all its attractions this place has to offer at Total Travel, a UK company/website which basically gives us all information of the places of our interest anywhere in England. One that excites me about is this Wooded Gorge of the Allen River - an extensive area of woodland gorge and rocky river scenery, also its magnificent ancient creations/buildings - museums, lighthouses,
castles, and various galleries and amusements. If you are interested to visit in the future, you can visit Northumberland Cottages to get all the information on various things and activities to do and to see in this place, like your Accommodations (houses, cottages, hotels, motels, backpackers lodges, bed and breakfast), Apartments, Caravan Camping (if you are interested in), Yachts, Boats, Retreats, Farmstay, etc...
Depression Clinical or Self-Induced?
Though I am still quite depressed, down in the dumps and sad about what is happening with my other sister, but nothing I can do about it...If I do feel these horrifying thoughts and standpoint, HOW MUCH HERSELF... LORD MEND OUR BROKEN HEARTS AND RESTORE OUR STRENGTH...
Undeniably, there is one type of illness in the world that affects more people than anything else, and is
VERY DEADLY! If untreated this illness could affect everything you do. What is this illness? ~~DEPRESSION~~... Serious depression requires professional treatment. SELF-INDUCED DEPRESSION something each of us can change.
Everyone's circumstances are different and the pressures we face from day to day vary, but really some of the causes self-induced depression are common: low self-esteem, hurtful thinking and a bad attitude. Although these affect people on a global scale and cause much heartache, how can we change the way we think, feel, and cultivate a cheerful attitude? Like with any obstacle there will be stumbling blocks, but they can be avoided.
First we must look at ourselves, truly and honestly examining our motives for what we do and what we wish to achieve. If you are dissatisfied because you feel you haven't or can't do anything, then one step is needed - to set goals.
Always start your goals relatively small and easy to attain. Think of them as sand; one grain may be insignificant but as a group they form the beach. Once you have set and attained small goals for yourself, move on to slightly larger, more challenging goals. Examples might be like competing in a sporting event, studying at college or getting a part time job. And most importantly of all, talk to people about your goals. Talk to people who have reached higher goals, for they can give you much encouragement.
It takes more than just setting goals to be happy. It takes positive thinking. How can we attain this?
There are a number of factors that can make us think negatively and one of those is diet.
In my opinion, a person who eats a lot of take out and fast food is feeding their body junk which mostly consists of fat, saturated fat, cholesterol, sugar and is generally low in vitamins and minerals. Start by eating better foods, more fruit and veggies, meat products and high fiber meals which give the body much NEEDED minerals. If your physical body is happy, it's much easier for your mental body or "thinking ability" to be happy.
Next, exercise. A half-hour a day is recommended for positive well being. Why is exercise so important?
Because it gets oxygen running around the body more easily which helps us think better and helps us sleep better. If you are having difficulties sleeping, a little more physical work or exercise during the day may be needed.
Thinking is also linked to what we do.
For example: if you do something that you hate doing everyday, it will show in your attitude. This probably explains why so many people are angry in the work place. If you don't like what you do, but have no choice in doing it, try to give yourself some hobbies or activities you really enjoy doing (building lego technic is always a good one for me).
Hobbies are just like lifelong invisible friends. If all else fails, you can turn to them.
If thinking positive becomes that difficult, think back to a time in your life when you were happier, or think about good memories you had, or generally think of things that make you smile.
Remember, everything you wear costs money but to wear a smile is free. A smile can be the difference between an average day and a great day and also offers you some brief exercise (smiling requires the movement of certain facial muscles).
If you follow these steps, positive change is inevitable.
To be happy depends not only on good health mentally, how we think and feel, but also on how healthy we are physically...So start making positive goals, treating your body to healthier foods, and stay motivated in life by doing things you love or think are fun, and thus you can enjoy the precious life you have.
Suffering From Bed Bug Bites?
Yes, we are! It is quite embarrassing really to have been noticed by people around to have been scratching, while leaving horrible marks on my skin. I have been long wanted to get rid of these bugs, but since we are in the middle of nowhere it is quite frustrating of knowing that we can't really do anything about it. Until maybe, if someone would suggest any way or idea to be able to finally get rid of them! What a coincidence really...
Good to know that they are not usually considered to be disease carriers though, they suck blood from their host with piercing mouth parts but the thing is we wouldn't know sometimes we've been beaten already the fact that bed bugs bites are painless. The skin may become irritated or inflamed due to the salivary fluid injected, could be small, hard, swollen and white welt may develop. Since bed bugs hide in small crevices, they can travel with luggage, furniture, clothing, boxes, ect. Used furniture, particularly bed frames and mattresses, are of greatest risk of harboring bed bugs and their eggs. It’s important to inspect used furniture, particularly bed frames and mattresses before bringing it into the home.
Please feel free to browse Bed Bugs Guide to give you all the information about bed bugs, signs of bed bugs, complete guide and explanation how we get them and how they are being transported to one place to another, how to get rid of them - the natural remedies, and on how to treat bed bugs bites.
10 Spiritual Tools In Coping With Chronic Pains
This is in connection with my sister who is still in pain at the moment, still dealing with heartaches and frustrations in life, though we have been giving her moral support but we never know what's insider her mind as she doesn't want to speak up, to say what she wanted to do! She knows that whatever happens, we'd still be here for her to nurse back to bring her life and laugh, that the whole family is fighting for her too!
For those who haven't got any idea what I am talking about, please click here to read the whole story. Sad and very devastating, yet we don't loose our hope that one day God would mend her broken heart, allow her to suffer emotionally only to realize His plan or the reason behind all of these things....
Chronic pain can make us feel isolated and helpless, especially if its cause is an illness or physical condition for which there's no cure or effective medical treatment, and even heart or emotional problems! At times of deepest despair, finding ways to nurture our spirits can help us not only cope with the pain, but also discover nuggets of grace, comfort, and productivity that can move us through and beyond the helplessness and hopelessness we feel.
Here are ten spiritual tools that can help you get started toward peace in spite of and in the midst of pain.
FIND QUITE
When we are in great pain, finding true peace and comfort is not easy. But it is possible, if we first try to still our worries and fears, both external and internal. Finding a place where there are no noisy distractions is a great start. Enjoying the outward quiet, we can then calm our inner selves and nurture peace within.
JUST BREATHE
The act of breathing is not only a physical process, but it can also be a tool to move our pain, negative thoughts, and worry out of
our bodies and hearts, replacing these with a better sense of self. In a quiet place, breathe in slowly and deeply, then let the breath out, expelling stress and pain with it. Feel the sharpness of pain subside as relaxation and calm take its place.
LISTEN TO MUSIC
A beautiful piece of music can inspire our spirits and soothe our pain like no other sound. It can also help us get in touch with the absolute joy of living, even if we live with severe pain. Put on your favorite piece of music - instrumental or vocal - sit back, and close your eyes. Let the music carry you away from your immediate pain to a place of calm.
LOSE YOURSELF IN PRAYER
So often when we pray, we ask for relief from our pain and leave it at that. Perhaps more effective when pain is oppressive is lifting up our pain and then resting quietly with the comfort that our concerns are being tended to by One greater that ourselves - and we do not have to take them back again.
REFLECT IN NATURE
Pain can isolate us and make us feel very much alone. But in reality, we are part of an amazing world. A walk in the outdoors, a glance outside at a garden, a quiet moment with a beloved pet - each of these things can renew our sense of belonging to the world, help us to feel less alone in our pain, and make us grateful for our lives among such wonder.
