This tag has already been on for weeks now, but didn't manage to post this sooner until I got tagged by so many. To mention they were Niko, te Ces, Amy, Maria (I apologize of not seeing some who probably have tagged me the same)... Proposed To Marry Tag

I got tagged by my dear friends Amy and te Cecile (sorry for it took so long for me to post this tag), thanks for the thought as usual and soon realized that I got the same from my new friend Maria. Nice to have read about your stories sisters, and now its my turn....and I am tagging everyone, enjoy sharing your stories....

It is pretty much normal to most women or all "brides-to-be", that they all make their efforts to have a very unique, gorgeous and successful engagement parties. As you can see on magazines and television about engagement stories, how romantic they were, and read various stories.

Let me ask one thing? Have you ever think of taking that step "proposal" and about of having an engagement party in the middle of nowhere? This was my real life's experience in the middle of nowhere Angola, Africa.

It was late 2006 after 3 years of been together (we met at work, became friends and lovers in the end). The pressure of actually coming up with an idea for popping the question was one of our primary concern during those times, since we were together for such a long period of time that made us really close. We both even were relatively sure "we were going to say yes". However, instead of popping up the typical question "will you marry me", we both asking each other "ARE WE BOTH READY FOR A LIFETIME COMMITMENT"?, and both were in teary eyes, very romantic though. It was November of 2006 and I didn't get my ring until we went on leave together last February 2007, and we did finally announced our engagement by May 19th at the same year by throwing a party. We were blessed with a heavy rain 2 hours before the time (6-8pm), it did stop at about the right time @ half passed the 8th in the evening! WOW amazing wasn't it?

Few months after I got my ring, we started making plans while still in the middle of nowhere and working at the same time! I didn't find it difficult because I had all internet access. In short, I just use email to contact suppliers, etc...


Indeed, the engagement ring is usually a time when you're walking on air. There's nary a care in the world and it's like the two of you are in your own special space bubble, lost in time and space. It's a different dimension and most things that happen around me either don't intrude into my space or they don't affect. It's a glorious feeling and very often, that's the way it goes right through from the time the engagement ring is slipped on up to the time the wedding ring joins it on my finger.

Birthday Wish Award

Sistah Dona of Memoirs of a Pinay in America reminded me of my birthday at this early stage already. Still a lot to count before my birthday comes:) I never used to bother about it, it comes when it comes, in fact, I even hated the thought of having another year again.. lol...

However, this is the exciting thing about this coming birthday of mine. You know why? I WILL BE DUE TO GIVE BIRTH the same month as my birthday! When is it gonna be Madz? END OF SEPTEMBER my dears... My birthday is the 28th September, and will give birth sometime between the 3rd and the last weeks. Can't really wait...


The rules are...

HERE ARE MY WISH FOR MY BIRTHDAY: (you still have at least 9 months to prepare, so don't worry too much okay?) hahaha...

1) That God will grant His birthday present to me, that He would answer our prayers - to see my 1st baby healthy. Having him/her on my birth month is additional thing to be grateful about.

2) All I want is my baby - even if it would mean for us to celebrate in bed for as long as I have my baby and hubby beside me, I would be the happiest person to celebrate birthday... huhuhuhu

3) Oh not only baby, would be nice to have TWINS - to see hubby holding the other one while I will be busy with the other one... hahaha can't really wait to see our reaction!!

4) To have fulfilled our plans by that time - to be able to finish the renovations to be made in our mango plantation in Bohol - house and converting the rice fields into fish ponds, hubby's wish.

5) To still see hubby in this job - recession has been affecting a lot of jobs elsewhere, so as the diamond industry. Though we may be closing down in 2 months time time, but fingers crossed to be back in operation by then! A lot of money involved, enough to buy another mantion!! hahahahaha

6) To have bathroom in the UK be fixed by then.

7) To be able to finish my 6 months review for the CPA Board Exams - while I stay in the Philippines during my pregnancy period, might as well to take a review and will try as much as I could to be able to take the board exams at the same time.

8) To become a Certified Public Accountant - having a license is one of my dreams. I had to set this aside for my family, 8 years ago when I decided to stop my review (pause my ambitions for a while) and have left the country for Angola hurray!!!

9) To see my sister who is working in Taiwan - we seldom see each other, the last time we were in the Philippines together was 3 years ago! Maybe I should ask her to come home when giving birth.

10) Somebody must give time to go shopping for me - to buy me presents hahahaha

11) To see you in person! Yes you Don, I am talking to you...:)

12) To meet my blogging Sisters and Dhangz in person too.

13) To see my nursing sister to go back to school again - to finish her last year after giving birth this coming May. She should be alright by then. I want to see her as a Professional Nurse, not just being a mother!

14) To see my best friend who is now in Italy - we've chatted when they were still in CA before her hubby assigned in Italy. Never heard from then. Aside from my wish to go around Europe!

15) Making more friends in blogosphere - it is such a pleasure to be recognized by other bloggers too, to be called as one of their friends, to be remembered always and to be taken care of.

True friends are hard to find, and I do believe that it doesn't take such a long time to know a person, talking with each other most of the times (even if haven't met in person) as a way of knowing - IS MORE THAN ENOUGH TO DETERMINE YOU AS GENUINE AS I AM TO YOU....

10 Facts About Me:
1. Working abroad at my early 20's - had to leave the country for my family! They were my inspiration of giving my best to have gotten this job, yea I am still working here in the middle of nowhere! I only worked for 1-1/2 years in Manila and left by then.

2. I am the eldest among 6 sisters and only 1 brother - this is the best example of "go to the world and multiply" bible verse! hahaha... but I don't think so, this was because my father wanted to have a baby boy...:)

3. I am working in Angola, Africa (diamond mining company) - most bloggers think I am either in the US or somewhere other than in the bush! :)

4. I love chocolates - I always complain about getting fat but the way I eat them, unbelievable!

5. I had my first miscarriage last year (twin babies) - hubby and I were both extremely devastated!

6. I am PERFUME ADDICT - the fact that any 100ml's would only last for about 1 month even less than... I put on 5-6 squirts every time I use, and put on twice sometimes 3 times a day! hehehe.. So, if you ever thought of sending me present, I prefer perfumes.. hahahaha joke joke...

7. I am a PASTOR'S KID - huh? YES!!.. did I give you a shock? hahaha... Yes I know what you're thinking... Well, if there's such a "prodigal son" - I am the "prodigal daugher" equivalent...but I am not that bad though....

8. I AM A MONTH PREGNANT - YES, only now that I have found out...yeppppeeyyyyyy, I'm gonna be a mother soon....psssttt, still too early to get excited!! THIS IS A TOP SECRET...

9. I never used to love kitchen - so baking and cooking wasn't my passions then! I had to learn otherwise hubby will leave me and get replaced... hahaha joke!!

10. I don't get pimples very often - why? donnu.. They said monkey don't get because they eat bananas, and bananas is one of my favorite... Probably, I am monkey too.. hahahaha

ECUADOR, South America - Darwin's salt-water lagoon and an excellent view of the lava fields, volcanic formations and the ocean. GREAT WALL OF CHINA - I (we) long wanted to experience and enjoy the opportunity of mounting the ramparts of this ancient wonders. Bricks were produced in kilns set up the wall, and were transported by men carrying them on their backs or by donkeys, mules and even goats. NIAGRA FALLS, Canada - this country is so blessed of having this, this is truly a magnificent God has put laid there. VENICE, Italy - to experience this boat trips along with these stunning buildings! Hopefully this February if I could be able to get my EU visa. Plus my chance to Chelle one of my blog friends in here, and my best friend who married to a Navy American.

6th Folder / 6th Picture Tag

Got this tag from my sistah Dhemz - "My Life's Perception and Inspiration" as usual. She had never ever missed to send me any tag she gets from someone else! I do appreciate it sistah, thanks for this wonderful friendship we've made in here.

Anyway, the rules are dead simple! See them below, and here's what I have found. Not to expect that my 6th folder was our Engagement Party photos, read the story here (as in letter "E" which alphabetically arranged as it is)... May 14, 2007 has became a remarkable date in our company's history and to all employees as well, since we were the only couple who've met here, became good friends, started a relationship, got engaged and even up to the marriage stage! We were dancing here, they all requested us to dance and was quite funny really because hubby doesn't know how to, he's got two left sided legs!! hahaha....

Here are the rules:

Giving friendship awards is one of the things I like most here in blogging. It feels truly wonderful every time I receive tag/award from other bloggers whom I have made such an amazing bond, and eventually became my really good friends and vise versa. Also nice to share awards, to make them feel loved and cared about. Just the thought itself, thinking and caring about each other.

The New Year's Blog Award

Got this tag from Dhemz, thanks for sharing this to me my dear! I have never thought about it yet, not just yet, of any New Year's Resolution - making up my mind of what to change or make better though.. uuummmm not quite, shall I be serious about it?... Well, until I got this award, I have to get serious about it! hahahaha...

My 5 New Year's Resolution

1. I have to re-attach myself again to my dream of having a baby soon, I think 1 year of rest after losing our first twin baby is more than enough to start again!

2. I will have to stick on my diet, as I've always been telling everyone that I am but I am still nibbling every now and then! But at least I've managed to get rid some of my belly fats :) for the past 2 months!

3. Minimize shopping online (refrain from opening Ebay and Amazon sites, just concentrate on blogging instead hahaha...), need to save up money especially this time, we really need to be sensible!

4. I spend a lot of money on PERFUMES, I'll try to reduce the number of squirts every time I use... Imagine any 100ml only lasts for a month or even less than sometimes! Geeezzzzzzzzzzzzz, I am so expensive!

5. Stop buying fahion jewelries, as they give me skin allergies! Especially my neck and my fingers.

Now, its time for you my other friends to think about of theirs and do them seriously. It is so nice to share our thoughts and ideas to our fellow bloggers, especially those ones who put up or given some special place in ones lives.

Reminiscing Our Early Days Together

Got this tag first from Dhemz (about2 weeks ago), 2nd from Rechie and 3rd from Gengen! I tell you why it has taking so long for me to post this, as I wasn't sure if I could be able to find some old photos in our pc, which I did manage!

This is cool, and it feels truly amazing to reflect with what you have achieved now as a couple with what you have started! I feel so excited to share our stories to all my readers..:)

Can you remember the day you first met your hubby? * Yupp, here in the middle of nowhere, at work!!,, and it was 2 years before we were together, while he was having a relationship with other Filipina, and I was with another guy too! He used to work in other mine site and visited us every time our Chief Geologist goes on leave. When was that? (doesn't have to be specific) * It was early 2002 when he visited us for a month! >> OK THE TIME WHEN HE GOT TRANSFERRED TO OUR PROJECT, that was when we were both available and ready to move on to try again! I didn't know he had a crush on me! I had no idea whatsoever, I thought he was after of my room mate (our GM's secretary, a filipina too...) This photo above was our first date after 2 months of courting, every single moment we were together, was just incredible! I remember he'd asked me plenty times to go with him around the mines, but my answer was always "NO", I WAS BUSY, I WAS WASHING, as I was too scared to give in with my feelings and will be too carried away!... First impression. * There wasn't any future cling between us whatsoever! He was a very nice chap though, gentleman, and we used to exchange stories, about life, work, family, etc... All casual! > However, when he started courting me, he was too "naive" that I almost have asked him if he liked me! I JUST COULD NOT WAIT... He's different from among expats I know here at work! Were you attracted to him? * At the beginning NO.. Casual acquaintance! Were you friends before he became your bf? * Yes for at least 2 years! Photo beside was our first date in the middle of the bush, soon after I gave my BIG YES to him! What was the sweetest thing he did for you? * Writing love letters and giving me flowers every single day, during our courtship period (for almost 2 months)! I love surprises... he used to surprise me of putting flowers or plants outside our garden, and wondered where were those come from and realized in the end they were from him!What are the things about him that you are thankful for? * He knows how to make me laugh. He's been a very good friend, lover and a husband to me. "He saved my heart from being broken apart, he gave his love away, and I'm thankful everyday FOR THIS GIFT - "TRUE LOVE". :) I love you very much my luv... By the way, GREEN colors - before we were together, RED colors - when he started courting me til we were together! We met here (in the middle of nowhere), became friends, liked each other, experimented if we would have worked together, we fell in love, got engaged, but married in Mauritius (still in Africa) hahaha... See, imagine how meaningful Africa is to us... **Now the rules are simple. 1. Pick your sweetest picture when you were still friends and post it on top of the questions and answers. 2.
