Flawless BLUE Diamond, One of the World's Rarest Gems

This diamond is expected to sell for £6m! I beg your pardon? Is the price negotiable? LOL, I thought of buying this but I only have £6 but WITHOUT an M!!! hahahaha....By the way, this is a 7.03 carat fancy vivid blue, cushion shaped diamond from the Cullinan mine in South Africa.

David Bennett, chairman, Europe and the Middle East, Sotheby's international jewellery department, said: "Blue diamonds are among the rarest of all nature's treasures and it is very exciting to have such a fine example as the centrepiece of our forthcoming Geneva Magnificent Jewels sale.

"This stone certainly ranks among the most important blue diamonds that I have had the privilege of offering for sale in my career at Sotheby's. What makes it particularly special for us is that we've been able to follow its production from the initial rough state through the various stages of its cutting and polishing."

The cushion-shaped gem is internally flawless and owes its distinctive colour to the presence of the chemical element boron during its formation. The diamond, set in a ring, is expected to fetch between £4 million and £6 million at Sotheby's Magnificent Jewels sale in Geneva on May 12.

It's Exactly One Year When We Last Visited Central LONDON!

It was April 2008 when "I First Visited England For The Very First Time", and I remember exactly the excitement I had felt as I asked everyone to visit all the places they mentioned before I got here! Imagine in just a few week visit here, we even managed to visit the CENTRAL LONDON at "London City Walk I Would Never Forget"(because of my aching feet!!!LOL) . Here are some of photos....

SPRING 2008 in Kensington Gardens

Then we headed straight to the 'Buckingham Palace' - serves as both the office and London residence of Her Majesty The Queen, as well as the administrative headquarters of the Royal Household. It is one of the few working royal palaces remaining in the world today. We also went passed the 'House of Parliaments' and the 'Big Ben' itself. AMAZING!!! Really, an ABSOLUTE BEAUTY!! We took some photographs and headed straight to the 'London Eye' direction, took some photographs down the road with its background, showing the river at the back of the 'Big Ben' and the 'House of Parliament'.

Photos at below right were at the "TOWER OF LONDON", in the rainy morning (on our 2nd day before we came back home in the afternoon)....Hubby and I will be seeing Central London again maybe in a few weeks' time for my visa application, to visit Philippine Embassy too and Angolan Embassy for hubby's working visa. But one thing I can assure you friends, I won't be posting much of photographs especially of myself as won't be posing much anymore (you'll be surprise my size compared to these ones hahahaha), so here are the photos of the places we would possibly be visiting again....

How Memorable Month of MAY for our Family Is?!

The month of MAY is a very popular month for the BASALO FAMILY! You'd surely be asking why? Is it our parent's wedding anniversary? WRONG! Could be interesting things are taking place in this month.....

Like birthdays? YES, apparently MY 3 SISTERS and UNICO IJO ARE CELEBRATING THEIR BIRTHDAYS THIS MONTHS.

2) My sister - GHIE will be on the 14th (2nd sis)
3) My sister - MHAE will be on the 26th (4th sis), on her wedding (I couldn't find a pic of herself alone)
4) My brother - VENJUN will be on the 31st of this month (8th, the youngest and the-only-brother) ADVANCE HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL OF YOU!!

We Decided to Buy a 3-Seater Sofa for my Convenience

Just few weeks ago, hubby and I decided to buy this 3-Seater Sofa with 2 RECLINER actions on both ends, for the reason being that I am not comfortable anymore with the settee we have at the moment! Apparently, this was an old one of hubby's sister and have been in our possession for nearly 3 years now plus 3-4 years of been used by them! OLD isn't it?, plus it is not very cosy anymore! However, we could only have it UNFORRTUNATELY in 10 weeks time! Delivery time is 10-12 weeks as it comes from overseas (could be China, as usual LOL), and we ordered one about two weeks ago. But I tell you what, it is really worth waiting that long... and by the time it arrives, I will be 6-1/2 months pregnant! Wouldn't be perfect?
