My Obsession Of Interior Design and Furnitures Led Me To Bankruptcy! LOL

It wasn't that long that I blogged about "Our Unfinished House in Laguna", also when I was on the process of choosing "Fashionable Curtains for this House", other than anything else buying FURNITURES was not on my list of things yet to be done, not just yet! By the way, the house hasn't been completely finished yet, they are still working on patios and gate, garden and wall finishing on the outside. But we're getting there....

However, plans may have had changed but I was quite happy with the result! I knew from the very beginning the type of wood to buy when it comes to furnitures, beddings, etc... However, I didn't realize I HAD SPENT SO MUCH (on furnitures alone) THAT LED ME TO SHORTAGE FOR THE HOUSE COMPLETION! Well, I didn't realize too they were that expensive! Yet, I haven't even bought the curtains I wanted! They just bought temporary ones after I realized I had nothing left! Oh dear...

So now I declare myself as BANKRUPT! lol.... But no regrets at all, I promise....:)

You may have noticed that I've been busy grabbing opps... EVERY LITTLE HELPS... hahahahaha

Fashionable Curtains I Love for Our House in Laguna

A while ago, I blogged about our "Unfinised House in Laguna", the house I managed to buy when I was still working in Angola, which at the beginning it was just for investment purposes, that however my plans changed in times, and decided to extend it to another 3 meters. In the end, it is worth to have another decent sized bedroom, dining and a living room.

I tell you what, I am finally relieved from financial stress after all!, considering that the original budget was only to spend at least P180k, but in the end the total amount spent was P350k! It nearly gave me a heart attack, to be honest with you. Which means that all other plans had to be put on hold due to budget constraints.

Though it has just finished from finishing, to painting and we are now on the process of buying furniture, some appliances, bedding, curtains and the rest all other accessories needed! Whew, I didn't realize it was gonna be this expensive and stressful, but like I said it was worth all the money we'd spent.

Speaking of chic curtains I'd ever loved to have, are this photos below! I found a "bespoke" curtain supplier and she'll make these curtains for me. They are quite expensive though but nothing really makes you feel fulfilled until you get want you want, even in small things like this!

3 SETS on this for the LIVING ROOM, exactly the same color combination ( the best match best on the paint color we have)...

1 SET in each BEDROOM (3 total), but of different color combination as the 3 bedrooms are of different paint colors....

Can't really wait until I see the beauty inside! Will be blogging about this soon....

Our Unfinished House in Laguna Philippines

Not all of my friends and readers know that I went to work in Angola when I was young as 21 years of age! I was the youngest employee in our company's history (ITM Mining Ltd), while in fact, everybody used to call me as "bunso" (meaning little sister or youngest sister of everybody at work!)... But it was 9 years ago, I am close to a calendar end now! LOL....

In my first 4 years of working, I managed to send my two sisters in university up until they were finished! Moreover, I decided to acquire a house and lot in Binan Laguna (as investment at Evergreen Subd.) at the same time. However, by the time I decided to give it a go, the agent who was dealing with it who happened to become my friend in the end, convinced me to buy the EMPTY LOT beside the HOUSE & LOT offer (it should have been another house if only someone have had bought it). It was a last minute decision while the paper works of the first one was on the process, and without having a second thought I BOUGHT IT TOO.As shown on photos, I decided to consolidate the two properties (total of 160 sq. meters) into one and set a gate to secure, plus another 3 meters extension to the house itself!... It used to be just a plain 60 sq mtr floor area house (2 bedroom, with kitchen-dining and living room in one phase, a garage and provision for laundry or dirty kitchen at the back), small wasn't it?
Now, it has converted into a 3 bedroom house and a separate dining room and a big living room, with a big kitchen at the back!Mind you the house was finished and ready for occupancy for about 4 years back then, but I didn't bother to make any plans at all because I was very very disappointed the way it was constructed for the total acquisition cost + interest after 10 years of payment scheme!

In short, I am paying more than enough to have a two-storey house (3-4 bedroom house) with garage and big garden, if only I had cash back then!

Off the record, I have been renting an apartment in Pasay for almost 10 yrs!!!.... until my sisters have finally moved in to this house last week. I didn't have the photographs of the finished one yet, but will post them as soon as I have.

By the way, perhaps you would wonder why on earth I have a color green house LOL... To be honest with you, I don't like it either - but this was the developer's choice of color! Actually, they had CREAM and GREEN, but I didn't really know the color until it was finished! SO, I HAD NO CHOICE AT ALL, and we all have to live with it to the fullest!
