Early December I blogged about the 2.8 hectares of plot offered to us with 250 Mango trees, with rice fields and a two-bedroom house in one price (read here). It was like an "all-in-one" jackpot price! It only took us a while to decide to have finally bought it. All its pertaining papers were processed straight away, have to wait only for all the tax payments to be sorted. Other than that, everything was fine as to the legalities, bank impediment, any payable and or any pending loans whatsoever!
While the owner didn't have money to pay all the needed Land Registry Fees, they've requested for P200,000 ($4,300+) as an advance payment (which we did), then the rest to be sorted out later. At of the moment, we are only waiting for all the paper works be finalized, and the signing and transfer of title has to be taken place.
By the way, we had to name it under my father's ownership to make things quicker and hustle bustle free transactions, otherwise, it would have been hectic to send all hubby's documentations (with regards to his status of the country, etc...), in addition to our marriage certificate or license which we both thought would be another big problem too since our marriage hasn't been submitted and recognized in the Philippines, not just yet!
We are going home by next month to see the place (to see Philippines again yiiippeyy), make some plans from there and start doing anything we can do for the meantime, as you can see the place really needs a serious cleaning and the rest will on our next visit. Plus if we can be able to buy at least 3 Cows and a couple of Goats to clean up the area and giving trees natural manure vitamins they desperately need!

Neither do I nor my husband knows anything about Mango Plantation! You'd probably ask why on earth all of a sudden we became interested in making ourselves preoccupied in this very complex matter to get involve with, right?

Without stressing ourselves out, opportunity knocks only once... what a lucky day, we said! My father contacted me straight when his cousin contacted him to advise us if we were interested to buy a "2.8 hectares with 250 mango trees (which they had their 1st fruit season early this year), with rice fields, plus a decent size 2 bedroom concrete house - for only P1.5M. Roughly +-$32,000, which gives us the price of P54 per square meter ($1.14), not including mango trees, house and rice fields...."! 
JACKPOT!! So I asked my father to go and visit the place straight away, to talk to the owner, take photographs and make a deal. We know it was cheap, but then we tried if the owner was willing to reduce the offered price, which in the end she did not!
It was alright, the "Deed of Sale" has already been processed and as soon as all the legalities will be finished and finalized, also the money we have transferred, that will be ours soon...:) Exciting isnt' it?
The only thing we are anxious about is, who's gonna look after and manage the place? Are we capable of managing a million peso business, which also involves a million dollar efforts, time and money...
