By the way, she's my sister Mitch's baby whom I blogged around late last year - 'When She Was Suffering from Emotional Torture' her boyfriend used to give her! Mind you, her baby's nose is similar to her father....LOL

Everyone Deserves A Fantastic Holiday Break

Indeed, everyone deserves a holiday to break free from their daily work routine, whilst summer break will soon be upon us and many parents will be considering any activities to allow their children to be a part of. Also, living in the same location for months and carrying out the routine daily activities gets too wearying over a period of time and it is then when we need a change in our lifestyle in order to restore ourselves for few days and get back to our usual routine with a fresh feeling. Therefore, spending a vacation with your family and friends is something to treasure and look forward to.

Whether going for a beach or camping summer holidays, surely the whole family would enjoy and love it and without having to worry about anything at the last moment, make all the preparation beforehand. I Will Be Alone Soon!!!

Hubby has been busy now of completing all his papers for his working permit of going back to Angola to work again! His presence and expertise is apparently been extremely needed at the moment... Imagine a mining company without a Geologist, it is like a "life without any direction at all".

I just hope I can cope to stay on my own until he comes back again in time for me to give birth. We both really are so lucky to have been given a chance to stay at home for almost 5 months now (mind you that's with pay)...

How To Deal With Conflicts?

Because we are individuals, our life experience is unique. There will be disagreement or conflict. At some point in time, someone is not going to agree with your opinion or do things your way. Conflict. It will eventually happen. None of us has the ability to control others or our environment no matter how hard we try or want to. In the long run, trying to control others is tiring and usually backfires.

Conflict is an internal experience related to an external source. You feel threatened in some way. I know "threatened" is a strong word to use, but that is what your subconscious is perceiving. When a threat is perceived your body releases adrenaline and cortisol. As a result of that, your body goes into survival mode typically known as a fight, flight or freeze response.

Your response to someone not agreeing with your point of view is a learned behavior. Your family taught you how to handle conflict by example. Many families, however, do not deal with conflict in a positive way. They might not have been the best examples of effective communication.

Under Arm: "I'm afraid to deal with conflict so I avoid it at all cost."
Head: "I don't feel safe when I picture myself standing up for myself with certain people."

Eyebrow: "I want to focus and resolve these feelings about conflict."
Side of Eye: "I can feel safe even when I stand up for myself and am honest about my needs."
Under Eye: "I choose to resolve these fears about conflict and using my voice."
Nose: "I can release my fear of being threatened and that my needs don't count."
Chin: "I choose to feel safe even if I'm speaking up for myself."
Collarbone: "If they don't agree with my needs, that is okay."
Under Arm: "I love feeling this positive energy around finding my voice."
Head: "I appreciate feeling so hopeful about speaking my truth."

Instead of focusing on the problem and trying to get away from where you don't want to be, focus on the solution and where you want to go. Consider the fact that the Law of Attraction is always at work. You will attract to yourself what you are focused upon. If you are focusing on the threat you feel when someone does not agree with you, then you will respond from a place of fear and avoidance. Focus on the direction that you would like to move toward because you know you deserve to do that.

Alfie's 2nd Birthday Celebration - Part II

Tuesday the 9th his actual birthday, they went to my parent-in-laws' house to celebrate his birthday again! Mind you he was fast asleep when we got there. However, we thought he was gonna cry as soon as he moved (which he normally does), especially during his first few minutes of waking up, but apparently he did not. Instead, he was looking for more presents LOL... The moment he saw me and his unopened presents from us, he turned his head looking for Stuart (my hubby), and said "Stuit more presents".. It was rather hilarious, and here he is opening his presents..
We bought him a little piano and a set of water pistols, which he then played with his uncle Stuart. He enjoyed it, well anything with water in it as he loves playing with water....He was funny because after he got tired of playing, he was then asking for more presents and more cards! LOl, I'd wonder if he asked his mum the following day!
