Our Garden This Week

I am so sooooo proud to say that our garden is getting more brighter and richer everyday! It was the first week of this month when I first blogged about it "Our Garden, Still Waiting for the Flowers to Come Out", with less colours and slightly shorter bedding plants. However, just after a week or so, here's our garden this week, they look more chunky and more flowers have came out too...

I could see loads of ROSES' flowers too, PANSIES, PETUNIAS, SNAP DRAGONS, POPPIES, etc...We also have loads of GIANT SUNFLOWERS to come very soon!
It took us almost forever to wait lol, to have this garden sorted and now it is worth all the wait. Will be posting photos every week!

Hubby has been busy now of completing all his papers for his working permit of going back to Angola to work again! His presence and expertise is apparently been extremely needed at the moment... Imagine a mining company without a Geologist, it is like a "life without any direction at all".

I just hope I can cope to stay on my own until he comes back again in time for me to give birth. We both really are so lucky to have been given a chance to stay at home for almost 5 months now (mind you that's with pay)...

How To Deal With Conflicts?

Because we are individuals, our life experience is unique. There will be disagreement or conflict. At some point in time, someone is not going to agree with your opinion or do things your way. Conflict. It will eventually happen. None of us has the ability to control others or our environment no matter how hard we try or want to. In the long run, trying to control others is tiring and usually backfires.

Conflict is an internal experience related to an external source. You feel threatened in some way. I know "threatened" is a strong word to use, but that is what your subconscious is perceiving. When a threat is perceived your body releases adrenaline and cortisol. As a result of that, your body goes into survival mode typically known as a fight, flight or freeze response.

Your response to someone not agreeing with your point of view is a learned behavior. Your family taught you how to handle conflict by example. Many families, however, do not deal with conflict in a positive way. They might not have been the best examples of effective communication.

Instead of focusing on the problem and trying to get away from where you don't want to be, focus on the solution and where you want to go. Consider the fact that the Law of Attraction is always at work. You will attract to yourself what you are focused upon. If you are focusing on the threat you feel when someone does not agree with you, then you will respond from a place of fear and avoidance. Focus on the direction that you would like to move toward because you know you deserve to do that.

Alfie's 2nd Birthday Celebration - Part II

Tuesday the 9th his actual birthday, they went to my parent-in-laws' house to celebrate his birthday again! Mind you he was fast asleep when we got there. However, we thought he was gonna cry as soon as he moved (which he normally does), especially during his first few minutes of waking up, but apparently he did not. Instead, he was looking for more presents LOL... The moment he saw me and his unopened presents from us, he turned his head looking for Stuart (my hubby), and said "Stuit more presents".. It was rather hilarious, and here he is opening his presents..
We bought him a little piano and a set of water pistols, which he then played with his uncle Stuart. He enjoyed it, well anything with water in it as he loves playing with water....He was funny because after he got tired of playing, he was then asking for more presents and more cards! LOl, I'd wonder if he asked his mum the following day!

Also, we've been so busy plating summer plants (bedding flowers and shrubs), after our fence panels have been put up (this was between our garden and our neighbors)... Looking really good after weeks and weeks of hard work, I should say... We just have wait until all the flower buds would finally come out in due time. We Went To See Classic Car Show in Duxford

It was a very sunny day, a gorgeous day indeed! We've seen loads of military and civil aircraft that saw service from the first World War through to the present day. They had one of the first prototypes of concorde (the only super sonic air liner). There were lots of Second World War aircraft on display including the famous Spit Fire and the Iconic B17, both of which we were lucky enough to see taking off and landingHubby next to one of his favorite aircraft, the HUEY. He said he's going to buy one if only we have the money or rich enough LOL...The Imperial War Museum Duxford is a museum in Cambridgeshire, England, and commonly referred to simply as 'Duxford' . It is a branch of the Imperial War Museum and houses its large exhibits, including the aircraft and military and naval vehicles collection. The museum has seven main exhibition buildings with nearly 200 military and civil aircraft.

A military airfield during both world wars, Duxford has maintained and still uses its wartime buildings, such as the control tower, operations room and hangars which were used in the 1940s. The Operations Room has been carefully reconstructed to look as it did when Royal Air Force (RAF) personnel directed Duxford's fighters during the Battle of Britain.

Hubby loves to own a CLASSIC CAR one day! But sad to say that because we now wanted a FAMILY CAR, he had to make a sacrifice, just maybe... lol... poor man! But I told him plenty times that he can still buy one, which would only mean to have a proper family car after a year or two! Hubby's Birthday Celebration

1st of June was my hubby's 36th birthday (it was on a Monday), however, we decided to have a BBQ Sunday on the 31st of May (at his parents' place), so his working sister and family could be able to spend the whole afternoon with us for the celebration. It was just a simple celebration, yet a very memorable one, as it was the first time for 10 years that family was able to get together on this birthday!Indeed, it was full of fun especially with the little gorgeous Alfie.
Alfie wanted to cook, so we had to pretend to be cooking.Luckily it was a very nice day, quite hot but not too bad as there was a cool breeze. Shame I didn't have anything to drink except my Ice Tea..LOL
